Seaside At 22 Sandpiper

Fantastic location quick walk and you on the beach and close to lots of restaurants.

The dishwasher, tumbledryer, microwave did not work they came to fix the tumbledryer and dishwasher 3 days later. They fetched the microwave to have it fixed bit never brought it back. The 2nd bedroom door handle is completely broken. In the add it stated it had Air conditioning but ot does not, there are no fans as per their listing. The shower is horrible we ended up just showering with the door open as there is absolutely no space. There are now towel racks to hang your towels after your shower/ bath. The carpets as well as couch is beyond filthy don't think its ever been washed. The fridge is horrible the door handle section stays sticky no matter how much you wipe it down and its worn down to bare metal. The main bedroom bed is half broken and mattress is rock hard and old. Most of the windows dont open and close as they are broken. There is a horrible banging noise coming from the far right bedroom outside when the wind slightly blows.

Fantastic sea view love the swimming pool. Close to beach and walking distance from restaurant. Its just a fantastic spot

Main bedroom bed is broken our host did say he will send someone no one came to fix it so bed was very uncomfortable. host did help us with glasses etc as it was incomplete. Microwave does not work. Could do washing but not dry as dryer not in working condition. Table on patio leg is broken. Cupboards have some missing planks. Shower curtain does not stop water splasing on floor. Could be a hazard for someone to slip. Great place they just need to upgrade and fix the broken stuff.

We paid for cleaning fees R350 and were still being asked to pay an additional R800 more via ewallet after the stay due to the place being left dirty. Place has roaches in the kitchen. They do not provide you with coffees, teas, sugar...as well as soap. Both bathrooms had no toilet paper. 22 sandpiper is a great place, but it definitely needs more attention.

They cannot get the basics right. There was no soap or dishwashing liquid. There was no toilet roll and there were no hand towels in the bathrooms. The bath was dirty and the shower head rattled. The main shower cubicle had a shower curtain which was too short, water got on the floor. When I raised issues with the host over Wattsapp they were not acknowledged. The microwave did not work and there were no table spoons. The apartment is described as having air conditioning but there was none present. The TV was not working but I got it working without the support of the host Most of the night there was a banging noise coming from outside the main double bed bedroom. At least one window was broken and it was cold. There was no heating or blankets. The carpets were dirty. The check-in details were not sent the day before but Cameron did acknowledge they would be sent in the morning. They were sent late morning after I chased him. Location is excellent with secure parking. There is a lovely sea view. Note this is on the second floor and there is no lift. This place needs attention which can begin by providing basic toilet rolls, soap and bathroom towels as are described on Booking.com

Location is perfect

The DSTv was not working ,when I asked the host he said he will check it out and send someone ,no body showed up to fix the issue Outdated furniture , old fridge , dryer not working old appliances , wood pieces in the drawers of the bedroom cupboards ,main bed room old Steele bed , windows mechanisms broken in the room and bathroom , we also requested to check out abit late but never got that far and had to leave because the cleaner had to clean We also checked in late because the cleaner was still busy cleaning

The view and location

The reality is not at all what the photos represent. Worn down in extreme need of repair and maintenance. Dirty Old bits and pieces for cutlery, tiles, finishes,etc. Eating table outside next to dirty cleaning mops, brooms,etc. No cold water to bath with tap mixer completely loose. The microwave does not work. Old dilapidated fridge. No toilet paper, coffee, or anything when arriving late. If some effort in refurbishing place is done, much better returns could be achieved from perfect location.

The apartment was in a great location and over seeing the beach. The beach was so close that you could hear the waves while in the house and while sleeping. The view from the balcony was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and the house had great Wi-Fi, hot water and the bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. There's a big pool which was clean and the braai area is also nice.

The house decoration is outdated and furniture is old. The bathroom taps were outdated and the couch was a bit dirty. There's carpets in the bedrooms and the carpets are old and dirty. The carpets are dusty, smelly and doesn't even feel right to walk on them bare foot. The smell of the carpet was also off putting especially for people with asthma and/or sinuses. The cupboards were also not clean, we couldn't unpack. There was no toilet paper.

The TV did not work 3 glasses in cupboard Inconvenience to clock in @15h00 Add never stated it's on second floor, I had a knee operation, no lift
