Skye Holiday Chalets C1

We liked how warm and cosy it was and so close to the ferry. We were able to park the car in the queue to get onto the ferry then walk back to the accommodation and have a coffee!

It was ideal for our purpose

The lounge area. The heater in lounge was good.

The bedroom you couldn't walk around the bed without bumping yourself.

Overall the caravan suited our needs but the sheets on the double bed did not look freshly laundered especially when compared to the sheets on the little twin beds… so we chose to use those beds. As other reviews have said there is a noticeable dip in the floor by the shower and the toilet is also at an angle .

The lounge area

The bedroom was small and very basic, with the bed linen completely disheveled (sheets possibly hadn’t been changed and we had to remake the bed completely) and we both seem to have got bitten by bed bugs! Not nice! Kitchen very small but ok for a caravan, and lounge area quite nice and comfortable. The bathroom was damp and had a sloping floor which seemed to be disintegrating.

Good location. Bakur Bar is minutes away with good menu, food and portions. Petrol station, shop, brewery also minutes away. Quiet area with hill views. Comfy bed. Got plenty of heaters which could heat up nicely, we were not cold. Kitchen equipped enough for a couple days.

Saucepan needs to be replaced. Some parts of the chalet were not clean, skids on walls and kitchen furniture, mould in multiple places (shower vent, sealants). Kettle had water left in and mouldy inside, did not use. Floor in front of shower and toilet must have a hole under the flooring, as it sinks when a person stands there, floor feels wobbly. Water from shower cabin leaks through to bedroom wall.
