Skye Holiday Chalets C1

Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to gift this booking to my sister. Her experience was that of a basic caravan type accommodation. She was appreciative of a few local amenities including a tea room and a pub/restaurant. In conclusion she felt that it was an affordable price for a “stop over” type stay due to its close proximity to the ferry terminal.

Nothing about this caravan was nice, it was cold, dated and in a very run down area. I do not recommend

Old cold unloved caravan. Area - not nice and accommodation was not a shalet as it was a old caravan. Caravan on the slant, shower too small to use no view. We booked 2 nights but left after first night to a better place.

The place was very peaceful

The chalet is more suited to 2 adults 2 kids not 3 adults as the single beds/junior beds were small. The toilet seat was loose, shower wouldn't drain unless you took out the drain part, the water leaked over the tray and through to bedroom. There was a stale smell when we went in and could have done with a good clean. In general the chalet could do with updating. Over all the isle of Skye scenery and places we visited were stunning, just not the chalet I'd give it 4 or 5 out of 10 and that's because of the peaceful location

We had to call as there was no hot water. The TV also didn't work, no connection. Although the weather wasn't good and the owner stated this was the reason. It was exceptionally windy however the second bedroom couldn't be used as the windows rattled and let the wind in so had to sleep on the sofa

The shower was cold weak and pathetic

Broken boiler, no hot water in the caravan so I was located in the main house in the nice room after two nights, but I still have to prepare my meals in the caravan. So that was annoying as I was staying for 6 nights.

Location was good for what we needed.

Leaking toilet that we were told was fixed but it wasn't and the floor did not look like it had been swept.

Warm, had everything needed, comfortable bed, shower was good but small.

Initial accommodation caravan number1 had clearly been used and not cleaned. Main bed was unmade, dirty towels , food in the fridge, the lounge carpet was dirty. No one answered the phone number given despite it being before 5pm but managed to catch staff in the cafe who said they weren’t expecting anyone to be in caravan 1, despite this being the one showing on our booking. She moved us to caravan 4 which was much better. Don’t get me wrong it was all still very basic and we were glad we were only booked for 1 night
