Bartinney Private Cellar Banhoek

We enjoyed the location, the cottage itself and the hospitality offered by the host Marc. We also enjoyed how peaceful and quiet it was there. Our child enjoyed playing with their dogs, talking to the team there and he felt very free there to explore and play around the estate independently. It was cold for us when we visited so we enjoyed the fireplace in the cottage. It was easy from the estate to visit other locations nearby. We appreciated the wine tasting experience by the host and the laundry service. The wines are lovely! We hope to visit again! Thank you Marc and Team for your warm welcome and care during our stay.

A beautiful location on a stunning wine farm. The host Marc was so accommodating and genuinely welcoming, and his tips about where to eat and visit in and around Stellenbosch were first rate. Comfortable beds and furniture, and the daily servicing was a bonus.

Perhaps the fireplace could be renovated (pretty smoky).

no onsite restaurant, but plenty to choose from a short drive away!

Loft beautiful and spacious, just take warm clothes in winter and cuddle up :) Super friendly staff, we will be back! ... pics don't do it justice!!

It's a beautiful farm with the best views. Marc was an amazing host, and the extra attention to details and comforts are truly appreciated. We even had 3 Labradors to keep us company and cosy at the fire. You can also pop in for a wine tasting that will surprise you. It's my favourite place to stay. See you soon Marc and team.

Beautiful accommodation on a winery with the most amazing views. Close to Stellenbosch and Frranschoek and lots of other wineries. Staff were amazing - thanks Marc, Carmen and Eugene who made our stay very special. The house was stunning and comfortable. Free wine tasting included on the property at the tasting room that was next door.

Had a great stay in the loft. Very spacious, nice couch and comfortable bed. In the living room it can get quite cold in winter, but dress warm and there are extra blankets that you can use to snuggle up.

Marc was the our point of contact throughout and was always helpful. He took wonderful care of us. The self catering cottage had two large bedrooms and a living room. The stay was in winter and the temperatures at night were around 8-10 degrees Celsius. Hot water was good in all the toilets and kitchen. 2 portable gas heaters and an electric heater were provided. Gas heaters were quite heavy to shift around. Kitchen is stocked with enough utensils and crockery. The location is stunning. The views from the wine tasting area are beautiful in all directions. The drive to Stellenbosch town is 20 mins.

Unfortunately, we didn't know how to use the fireplace properly. Three times the cottage filled up with smoke from the fireplace. We couldn't figure out why and abandoned using it after that. So could just be our inexperience with fireplaces.
