Daily housekeeping is available only from Monday to Friday. The Security deposit of R1000 per room for stays 1 - 3 days and 3 days - 2 weeks of R2000 per room, 2 weeks to 27 days of R4000 per room. 28 days and longer R5000 per room is required and is fully reimbursed within 7 working days of check-out provided there are no damages or breakages/damages/stains or lost items during the guest stay at the Paxton Luxury Apartments.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. My stay at Paxton Luxury Apartments in Port Elizabeth was nothing short of stellar. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, professional, and always willing to assist, which made the entire experience feel effortless and welcoming. The apartments themselves are beautifully maintained and perfect for a self-catering stay, offering both comfort and convenience. One of the highlights was the incredible rooftop area, complete with a swimming pool and entertainment facilities. The BBQ area, in particular, was a fantastic touch, perfectly capturing the essence of South African culture and making it easy to relax and enjoy the space. Overall, Paxton Luxury Apartments delivers an exceptional stay with great amenities, outstanding service, and a vibrant, home-away-from-home atmosphere. I would highly recommend it and would gladly return.

There are laundry facilities and a nice pool area on the roof.

The fact that you have to pay a deposit when you check in which is obviously refundable. It is an inconvenience because you are not aware of such information until you’ve made your booking.

The location and some of the staff were friendly especially the coloured lady. Some of them have a superiority complex thinking they are doing the guest a favor and they are not friendly at all.

The room in is entirety was a nightmare. The bathroom should be closed off from the room since the room has a kitchenette in the bedroom and it is right next to the open toilet. So just imagine the smell coming from the adjacent toilet to where you must eat and sleep. Upon arrival the bathroom smelled like pee to the extend that I needed to ask for domestos or jik because the person most probably peed in the shower or floors and it got dry because it was most definitely not cleaned. I got the jik from reception and had to wash out the room, toilet and shower myself. The fact that they have NO HOUSEKEEPING on weekends is another negative. We were also informed that they actually dont change towels on weekends and yet we've stayed from Friday to Monday. However; they gave us 2 fresh towels because we had to use the initial towels on the floor because the shower leaks volumes of water when one uses the shower in the room. I think the type of guests that this property attracts is also concerning because the noise levels from midnight until about 04h00 are just something else. The outside lights shines through the room windows so it further makes it difficult for one to sleep after day break because it creates so much light in the room very early in the morning. Block out blinds would be ideal since it is a luxury property as per the name as the selling point. It was just a nightmare to stay at Paxton Luxury apartments and I am sorry but it was my first and last stay there. I am yet to witness "luxury" at this property. In my opinion, stick to what you know so yes we will definitely return to 'The Paxton Hotel' in Humewood but definitely NOT to Paxton luxury apartments. It was a terrible and most dissapointing experience to say the least....

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unjustified withholding of my R1,000 deposit following my recent stay at your establishment. Upon arrival, I was required to pay a R1,000 deposit, which was clearly communicated to me as being for breakages or damage to property. I complied and paid the deposit in good faith. I checked out yesterday, and several hours later I received a call informing me that my deposit would be retained due to an alleged “stain” on a bathroom mat. This explanation is both unreasonable and unacceptable for the following reasons: I barely used the bathroom, as my stay was limited to sleeping overnight and leaving for work daily. I did not damage, break, or misuse any property, glassware, or equipment. A removable bathroom mat does not constitute damage or a breakage warranting forfeiture of an entire deposit. No photographic evidence or inspection report was shared with me to substantiate this claim. During the phone call, I could clearly hear staff members laughing in the background, which was highly unprofessional and gave the impression that this is a recurring practice and that my frustration was anticipated rather than taken seriously. This conduct reflects extremely poorly on your establishment and raises serious concerns about unethical and potentially fraudulent handling of customer deposits. I hereby formally request the immediate refund of my R1,000 deposit. Should this matter not be resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate it further. This will include sharing my experience publicly and encouraging other affected guests to come forward with similar testimonies, as well as lodging formal complaints with relevant consumer protection bodies. I trust that management will address this matter urgently and professionally. I await your response.
