Landor Stud Farm Cottage

The location is beautiful. We absolutely loved the horses and other animals. It is relaxing and quiet. A save place to relax, rewind and find yourself again. The owners are friendly and the braaiback definitely worth ordering. The potato salad and garlic bread is also awesome, that comes with your braai meat. The electric blankets are welcome in the winter cold and the fire place cozy. Absolutely more than what we expected. Definitely a place worth visiting. We will definitely go back again soon. It is good value for money.

The only thing I would recommend is a better basin in the bathroom, as it is uncomfortable to use and also a blind for the windows in the bathroom. 😜

This little cottage is a wonderfully quiet spot. It has an sbsolutely fantastic fireplace. We had such a cozy time. Danica was an excellent host, she was quick to respond whenever we needed help with anything.

We had a comfortable stay at Landor Stud Farm. The beds and couches were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped

One small suggestion would be to add cupboards for storing cutlery, plates, and cups. Being on a farm, flies are naturally expected, but cupboard space would really help keep everything covered. The taps and shower could also use some attention, as they weren’t as comfortable as we had hoped. It might be helpful if the owners spent a night or two in the accommodation themselves to experience it from a guest’s point of view. For the price, we felt the overall experience could be improved a bit. We were also hoping for a very peaceful and quiet environment, but there was alot of noise from people and music—possibly due to our stay over the Christmas period. On our first night around midnight, security arrived due to a cut wire. The armed response was reassuring and handled the situation well, although it did make us a little uneasy. With this being South Africa, extra security measures such as better gates, cameras, and more secure fencing (not cattle fence) could really add to guests’ peace of mind. These comments are shared in a positive and constructive spirit. With a few improvements, this could be a lovely and comfortable place to stay, and we hope the owners will consider spending time in their own accommodation to further enhance the guest experience.

We liked the peace of having field and green around us.most of the things to do were only about an hour away.i

I cannot think of anythink we didnt like and we orderd a braii pack of lamb and it was delicious including a bottle of wine⁰nl

The property is a perfect getaway for a pet friendly farm stay that is close to Johannesburg.

We were terribly disappointed with the state of the bathroom. Rustic should not mean rust. The walk-in shower cubicle had rust on the shower panels and perspex walls were dirty and rust on the bottom. The floors are dangerous when you shower, you could very easily fall. The bathroom basin has leaking taps and is completely rusted and cannot be used as it blocks. It is very sad that this is the case as it is a quick fix to make it an awesome stay.
