The peace and quiet.

The property is in need of maintenance and repairs. The locks and keys did not work on arrival. The kitchen draws are falling on your feet when you open them. Basins are leaking into the cupboards, and instead of repairing it, a cloth is placed on the shelves to keep the area dry. The drains are smelling bad. I agree with a previous review that the place can do with more fans, or the ceiling fans need an upgrade. We found the cleaners in the unit when we arrived, but the previous occupants broke the key off in one of the locks, and they were quite prepared to leave us with a door that cannot lock. However, I did phone Ria who organized a maintenance guy to come sort it out. We were told by the host that booking in time is 14H00, however then we arrived at 14H00 we were told by management that booking in time is only 15H00. When asked why we were told one time by the host and another by Sondela management, we were told that this is been the case for many years. We then had to hang around the reception area for an hour with frozen goods defrosting in the vehicle. The unit is advertised as having a TV, however there was no TV in the unit. This being said, the unit is nicely laid out with the rooms all having their own private bathrooms. The box freezer came in handy with the extreme heat. It is conveniently near one of the smaller pools, and one can walk there. The braai area is good in that you can still braai even if it rains.

The property needs some maintenance & attention

The roads are pretty bad, septic tank needs attention. Door locks all problematic, those type of issues that maintenance and attention will resolve carport has no roof

We liked everything about the property, and it met our expectations. The Host was very friendly and kind enough to let us stay for extra hours, which was a bonus.

We did not like the long drive from the gate to the reception, and then back to the property, especially on a gravel road.

The peaceful location of the resort and how spacious the house was.

Housekeeping was bad, the house was bot clean on arrival and we only got the keys to the other room 2 days into our stay. It was also odd to have a decoder, speakers and a DVD player but no TV and it was frustrating for the kids
