Farm stay at Lavender Cottage on Haldon Estate

The place was clean.

The place is advertised with air-conditioning. Only 1 room had an old aircon. The rooms and kitchen were hot with poor ventilation. The view from the veranda was poor. We were looking at a truck hanging halfway in the air with tyres lying on the ground. The furniture was old.

Nothing I was not welcomed well ,and they made me feel like me being black is a problem and my money is not with it

Everything they made us stay in a place we're there was construction and they made a noise on our last day and we had to smell smoke in the place ,a very unhealthy environment. The pictures are a lie

I liked the spacious accommodation and location.

Dog poo everywhere! Had to continuously tell the kids to be careful as it was on the path to the front door and by the car park.

Friendly Host, the place had everything we needed. Comfortable clean and had big kitchen. No TV though but decent internet and a working aircon. Good security as it's a small farm/agricultural holding. Overall not a bad overnight stay if travelling to the Cape.

One negative though........ Our morning was disturbed by Solar contractors walking on our roof from about 7h45am on the day of our check out. Imagine the noise on an IBR roof. We were never forewarned so that was not good at all. We ended up packing in a rush to leave as when I spoke to the solar guys they said they never knew there were guests checked in.

The road towards the property is partly gravel road close to the Industrial area - but once at the property, it's peaceful and spacious. We will visit again with the family. Good value for money paid.

The place is in a quiet and very peaceful area. We really enjoyed our stay.

I didn't like that the other bathroom is outside and the other room doesn't have enough space.
