Brackenburn Trout and Trail Retreat

The location is simply superb, the cottages were immaculate and the walks are beautiful and paths well maintained. We will definitely be back, its absolute paradise.

Everything was absolutely sublime. The friendly staff. The cottage was so comfortable and spacious, just what the doctor ordered for me and my family to relax and unwind.

The road to the farm was quite bad, but manageable, even without a 4 x 4. Just took it easy!

The location and the scenery. The cottage was very roomy and the bathrooms were a huge plus. The scenery takes your breath away. Beautifully maintained trails.

The road is not ideal if you don't have the right vehicle

Fantastic location right up in the hills of the Drakensberg surrounded by mountains, natural dams and woodland areas. Hosts are friendly and made sure we were safe during our trip to the house.

Roads leading to the house are in quite a poor state, particularly if driving at night.

The roads are little rough leading to the property, definitely take a suv or van.

Dave and Tisha were very welcoming, we absolutely loved talking with them. The place is big and the location is stunning.

That we didn't stay longer. The road was a little bit tricky, can be reached with a low car (sedan) with caution.

Beautiful venue with trout dams and river access. Birding was excellent and the trails for hiking are well maintained. The house was clean and the bedrooms were large. hosts were very friendly and shared knowledge about the area.
