"Gem in Cork Citt"

9.0

The " Hideaway " was a hidden gem in walking distance to Cork City central. It was a perfectly secluded location , yet a stones throw from restaurants, shops, and nightlife.

We opened the windows for fresh air, but Ireland is always a little damp, so we were expecting that.

"Satisfactory enough but for the price we could have done better. Wouldn’t take much effort to make this place worth the"

6.0

Neighborhood is quiet but also with lots of conveniences, things to do Close walk to pubs restaurants and public buses Nice comfy beds and large sofa for gathering Interesting decor pieces and great view of cathedral spire Plenty of space All kitchen amenities worked and had everything needed

Most annoying was there was no soap for the lavatory nor shampoo nor toiletries provided. They are listed as free on website, but when I contacted the host they said they’re not included so false advertising. Also just unsanitary not to have even soap. We left a bottle for the next guests. Should not be necessary for $200 a night! Hot water for shower not very hot, tolerable Lamps in sitting area and bedroom don’t work Main lights in living room are too dim to read, even when fully turned up No hand towels No place for hanging wet towels Towels are ok but thin Sheets in one bedroom had some stains Damp musty smell due to exposed brick and old beams, granted it comes with a historic space but could be mitigated with some air freshener or essential oil diffuser. We tried opening windows but quickly got insects so closed it up again. Some additional cleaning of brick wall (spider webs) and corners could make it much nicer.

"Great little hideaway"

7.0

Great quaint little place. Very clean good amenities and close enough to the centre and 2 great little pubs close by Tom Barry's and The Abbey

We had no hot water at all on the first which was unfortunate. The owners to their credit to get a plumber out fairly quickly but we still only had sporadic warm water making the showers a little uncomfortable. I'm sure the owners will sort this out quickly.

"Passable"

5.0

The location is great and it has a good shower

Property was not clean and has many cobwebs.Window blinds are very dirty. Lighting is very dim and we could not get any of the lamps to work properly. It smelled very musty and was extremely cold when we arrived.

"Good location, good food, good drink and Great Craic"

8.0

Very well located only a few minutes from city center. Fords pub only a 5 minute walk great live music on Wednesday and Sunday.

Couldn’t get through to the the host on arrival and were left outside in the rain with no code for lock box. One of the restaurants recommended by host was closed down for some time (The Pig Ale).
