The Botanist's Hideout - Luxury Retreat with Parking

The botanist hideout is an absolute lovely studio apartment. The bed was nice and comfy, the interior was beautiful and we liked the large window. The only thing I would note about it is the kitchen seems to lack in some things, but if you're not cooking, it can be overlooked. Personally, I would have left some instructions on how to use the cooker and the oven as I was very unfamiliar with how it was used, and I had to Google how to use them. And when I had fried an egg for breakfast , I found there was no spatula to lift it out of the pan. But other than that, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely stay again and we would definitely recommend to others as well!

The decor of the apartment is beautiful. The location is fantastic, it was so easy to walk into the city and back again multiple times throughout the day. The parking facilities are brilliant and very secure. The instructions pre-arrival were great and very easy to use. The staff response time is also great for if you have a query during your stay via WhatsApp. The apartment was comfortable and warm, all facilities worked well.

Just a few minor niggles - nothing that would stop us from revisiting - however, we thought the kitchen needed a little more thought putting into it. There were no cooking utensils and there weren't any clear instructions on how to use any appliances. There were also lots of complimentary coffee sachets, milk and sugar, but no tea bags. Would recommend just adding these few extra bits just to make it even more user friendly and welcoming. Also the light above the kitchen needs looking at as it keeps flickering.

Great location with parking. Great self-catering flat. Well equipped and clean. I liked the decor and furnishings. I stay frequently in the studios in this building, and I'd say the number 6 is one of the good ones. I would definitely stay in it again.

Wifi was patchy, pillows were too hard for me, and I wish the kitchenware included a big bow so I could mix sald. Also, there were no bin bags for the recycling, and there was no kitchen paper towels.

Location was good

Bed really uncomfortable, mattress protector was stain and dirty this was changed after reporting it. Kettle and toaster was really dirty. Leaking gutter outside room window loud gushing water noise all night when it rained moderately unable to sleep Fire door was broken for one evening / overnight and through the next day we was unable to get out unless we used a middle fire door leading to a dark back/ side area in my opinion this was a H&S risk ,along with the noise and uncomfortable bed it all caused us to leave early and go home , reported all this to hoist company and I felt like they just dismissed the issues and offered a small amount of compensation

Gorgeous studio apartment with everything you need. The location was perfect - it was a 10 min walk to the centre. So glad we booked and will definitely book again!
