No cleaning at all, and you can still see the last guest's supplies(like photos attached). The landlord can't get through on the phone, and it's hard to find the key.

Good location - easy walk to station and city centre. Pubs and shops nearby. The apartment was larger than I'd expected, with high ceilings. The kitchen-diner is large and airy, the bedroom is warm and quiet. Furnished to a high standard and very clean. Nice bedlinen!

My booking was accepted promptly. Collection of my payment and check-in instructions followed in due course. So I was surprised to receive an email on check-in day saying my card details had been declined and they needed to take payment. I was unable to contact the host on the number supplied, and received just an automated response to emails.

The location was perfect, as a former resident of York, the location with respect to the city centre was ideal for the Christmas markets. More room than I expected, to be honest. Great to have on site free parking, thats a massive bonus.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with both booking.com and the management company trying to take payment for the stay. Not a great experience and this needs looking into.
