The location was perfect, all of Yorks attractions are within walking distance.

We were here six nights and there was limited amount of towels and linen. We ended up using the towels from the second bedroom. The floor tiles looked excellent but are unpractical, dangerous when wet and easily damaged, as shown by the number of repaired tiles.

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable

Didn’t appreciate when we reported the next morning after our arrival, we did not have paper towels or salt…… We were told, “oh the housekeeper must have forgotten to restock”. If I managed or owned the property I would have immediately dropped them by. The most irritating comment was when I inquired about lack of bath wash, bath gel or bar soap for the shower. I was informed they do not supply bath soap because of people with possible allergies. Wherever do you stay where you do not have bath soap??!! People with allergies would bring their own. Lastly, I was fully aware of this, it came as no surprise but it still irritated me nonetheless…to pay the high cost of the accommodation and then be required to pay a mandatory housekeeping cleaning fee. Believe it was 50 pounds. Suggestion: Bury the cost in the rental fee. People hate paying for extras. A cleaning is a necessary cost of doing business when renting!!! BTW, The Old Fire Station was our second choice. Our first choice was unavailable and certainly did not charge a cleaning fee…it is a lovely apartment in a great location, but unable to give it a 10 rating or 5 stars because of the above.

Very comfortable and luxurious accommodation. Amazing location, right in the centre of York. All shops, restaurants and tourist attractions are walkable. Shame the weather didn’t allow us to use the balcony but it looked a great spot for sitting back relaxing with a glass of wine. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this property and we look forward to returning one day.

The property was pristine when we walked in the front door and it immediately exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space for our family of four to spread out and make it feel like our own home for a couple of days. We loved the view of Clifford's Tower from the patio and living room. It was a quick walk, 5 minutes, into town from the property.

We were traveling with kids that love watching sports, but we were kicked out of pubs/restaurants at 9 and unable to watch certain football matches when we returned at night.
