City Centre Apartment York

Dear Kathy, I am dropping you a note to feed back on our recent stay at the Nunnery Lane apartment. I have been away and on business etc. since we stayed between 28th and 31st May hence my delay. The apartment was in a super location for easy access to the city. The apartment itself is elegant and imaginatively laid out, it was spacious and comfortable. On entering the apartment after walking up the entrance stairs the carpets were bouncy and added a nice feel to the overall warmth, and the place appeared clean. The bedding and linen was pristine and crisp, which is always a big plus, along with the thoughtfully provided extra blankets which were welcome. The kitchen was very well appointed and thanks for providing some milk and other condiments. Our only other thoughts were that coat hooks for outdoor gear and a mat for shoes would be a good addition either on entry or at the top of the stairs, and that hooks or a rack would be useful in the bathroom or bedrooms. Overall we had a great break in York and the apartment in many ways has contributed to very positive memories of our stay. Lovely two bedroom apartment with lots of space and a full kitchen. Ideal for a two night stay in York. Excellently located for the train station and also for access by foot into York town centre including a nice selection of nearby restaurants. Kathy (the host) was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Minor point. The bed in the master bedroom is a bit squeaky!

Clean and modern. Location was great.

Only a tiny thing just the sweaking bed in the attic room.

Location 8 min walk from station.

Couldn't get TV working

Loved the quirkiness of the property, the location was amazing.

Not the cleanest of places. Just a bit disappointed that it was a surface ‘flick through clean’. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. Lots of areas not dusted, basic thing really. Bathroom radiator not working. Entrance lightbulb not working so in complete darkness when we arrived. Mattress protector really stained. Thick dust behind headboard (there was a big enough gap for us to see behind). Huge water stain on ceiling in bedroom. Slightly worrying.

very good location, just by Micklegate & York wall

my bed felt like it had a large lump in the middle & I rolled to the edge, the upstairs bed was comfy apparently just has a very squeaky metal frame.

Great location right outside city walls, easy access to city centre. We booked the place very last minute, and the host was extremely responsive, accommodating and helpful in making it work.
