"A home from home in the heart of York"

Stayed at this apartment before, a year or so ago, and was so impressed with the location and facilities that we were delighted to return. The place was just as good as we remembered it. In the heart of York on a busy street, but once inside there's barely any outside noise at all.

A remarkably spacious and well appointed apartment especially given its location in the quaint surroundings in Old York. The facilities were considerably more than we expected and unlike some other rentals in our experience it lacked for nothing. It is ideally suited to much longer stays than ours.

Somehow we didn't get the WiFi code (which other rentals display in their facilities), and we were unable to contact the hosts directly by phone. We just had US phones and no computer access. It was a surprise but not a major factor.

Everything! Fantastic location. Excellent facilities. Super comfortable. Easy to find. Having a main lounge and mini lounge in the kitchen area is fab. It meant I could watch tv and my husband could read (and make coffees ;)). We will be returning as soon as we can.

"The Hunter's Retreat is a perfect home away from home!"

The Hunter's Retreat was an AMAZING place to call "home" while we were in York. It was very clean and large, complete with a fully furnished kitchen, including a washer/dryer...and all other appliances. Its 2 baths and living areas were well-designed....we were just sorry we couldn't stay longer to have time to enjoy it more! The location was perfect, since it was close to Yorkminster, many restaurants and was a nice walk from the rail station! The owners were easy to communicate with before, during, and after our stay which we appreciated. We highly recommend the Hunter's Retreat flat to all travelers!

There was nothing NOT to like!!! It was perfect!
