Hunter’s Retreat

It was a really lovely place to stay the location is second to none however it is a really stuffy apartment due to walls no breeze is getting in it could do with more than one fan also attention to detail matters half a roll of toilet roll in both bathrooms for 3 days is not good also one tea towel for 3 days is not really good a dirty plate in the fridge and a dirty glass in the cupboard for what we paid for it I think little things like this is important we had to go buy toilet rolls and hunt for tea towels not on my list to do while on a break other than that it is a lovely place to stay cleaners need a talking to

The fact that there was only one tea towel both bathrooms had a half a roll of toilet roll for 3 days it's a beautiful apartment but way to stuffy no air gets in even when the skylight is open a dirty glass and dirty plate is not acceptable for what you pay to stay here

The location on Goodramgate was excellent and central for all the attractions of York. A small supermarket nearby was also handy. The lift to our floor was helpful too.

No downsides - everything was perfect.

Perfect location in the centre of York

We loved everything about Hunter's Retreat. The location close to York Minster meant everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. The apartment itself is exceptional; much bigger than we expected, with two bathrooms, two seating areas and a full kitchen. The washer/dryer was such a bonus! We highly recommend Hunter's Retreat and would love to visit again.

There was no blind in the lounge and windows opposite . A blind would have made it more private

This place was fantastic. It was spacious, with full amenities, and right in the centre of York. It was secure and private and incredibly good value for money. Totally recommend.

Very spacious interior. It was like the Tardis! Fully stocked kitchen items so really felt like a home from home. Electric recliners added that little something special. Really comfy bed. 2 bathrooms meant you had the option of a bath or a low entry shower if preferred.

Very Good Location- walkable(@15 mins.) to train station. Located in downtown area near Shambles. Secure, recently remodeled building and apartment. Much bigger than what I thought it would be. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, 2 very nice bathrooms, modern well stocked kitchen. Was very pleased with our stay at Hunter's Retreat- highly recommend!

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Excellent location. Superbly spacious. Fixtures and fittings to a high standard. Quiet for where it is too, secondary glazing helps.

It’s a bit tired in some places like the walls, thinning carpet and shower could do with regrouting and silicone and the drains could do with a deep clean. Bed could do with a vacuum and the pillows are all lumpy.
