Victoria Bar Apartments Within the City Walls Free Parking

Beautifully presented and well equipped apartment situated just inside the old city walls (we could see them from the windows!). There was just about everything you could need including toiletries and loo rolls! It was clean, comfortable and well-maintained with cake, tea, coffee and milk on arrival. The location was quiet and it’s just a short walk from most places including the train station.

Great location next to the city wall. Easy walk into the centre of York. Full cooking facilities, dishwasher and clothes washer drier. Superb host (rescued us from a lockout in the early evening). Parking with a permit was very convenient.

Fairly minor stuff. The bathroom was a bit cramped, especially getting on and off the toilet. The lighting in the sitting/dining area was a bit too dim for a couple of 78 year olds

lovely apartment, everything you'd need. few mins walk from the centre. even the small things that don't ruin your trip but do make it better inc a comfy bed, a good shower, TV with netflix etc, warm rooms. has a spiral staircase up to the apartments which I learnt is because, back in the day, if your going up a spiral stair case with a spear, vs coming down, the guy coming down has the advantage cos they can swing with their right arm, luckily I'm a left handed. we tested the theory with umbrellas and i won.

Well equipped and comfortable. Excellent cooking facilities with extensive range of dishes and utensils. Lovely welcome treats. Good size flat in lovely peaceful location. Great selection of books about the area and TV very easy to use including on demand channels. We would definitely stay again! 😊

Whilst the bathroom was clean and modern with lots of hot water it was quite compact which could be a problem if you were on the larger size. The apartment was located on the top floor with no lift, only a spiral staircase over several floors which could prove difficult if you had poor mobility or a heavy suitcase.
