Victoria Bar Apartments Within the City Walls Free Parking

Nice comfortable apartment, very close to all the attractions of York. The apartment was very welcoming, very clean and is like a home from home. The lemon cake and prossecco was a lovely surprise.

The shower head falls down when using it a bit annoying. Liked the apartment, didn't find anything to dislike.

It was everything we expected - clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for us with no disturbance from traffic. outside.

Right next to wall so really easy to get to all parts of the city. Apartment lovely and quiet.

Fabulous location and love the Prosecco

A very well equipped apartment ideal for exploring The City of York. It's just a few minutes' walk from the city centre. The little touches from the owner Lynn were great and most welcome. There was tea, coffee, and milk for a much needed cuppa on arrival and a much appreciated bottle of Prosseco in the fridge, too. As well as local parkin cake. It's the little things that mean a lot. Throughly recommend the local Indian takeaway.

Everything was spot on, from parking and location to the city to little touches like a bottle of prosecco in the fridge and a Parkin cake on the bench. The apartment was spotlessly clean and really comfortable.

Beautiful building in a gorgeous area of York. Clear instructions on arrival. Perfect apartment with character but all modern needs. Well equipped with a good range of basic needs in the kitchen for a short stay...appreciated the fresh milk, tea bags cake ( and the prosecco for my birthday...thank you) Great location! Easy short walk from station and into central York. All in all, a fabulous apartment...really quiet, comfortable, and in a perfect location.

The communication with Lynn was excellent. The instructions about finding the place and getting in were very clear. We were there during a snowy, cold spell and Lynn made sure we knew how to boost the hot water if we needed to. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. It was warm and cosy and we appreciated the bottle of prosecco and little Christmas cake that had been left for us. The location was great. A short stroll to town where the history jumps out at you! I would recommend a visit to The Golden Ball, a hop down the road. My husband was excited to find a Yorkshire stout on draught there, and it has a really interesting history. Did Charles Dickens drink there? I'm tourist enough to believe he did! Parking was easy and we could see the car from the apartment. I loved looking at the city walls and really wanted to walk along them. Unfortunately they had been closed due to the icy weather. I would definitely return!!!!

If I could change anything it would be the shower. I appreciate the eco friendliness of the gentle electric shower, but I selfishly would have loved a more powerful blast of hot water. I believe the description of the apartment mentioned streaming services on the tv. Apologies if my memory of this is incorrect. This was not the case, but we were able to chrome cast from my tablet when we wanted to watch a movie. But hey, that's not what you go to York for! Go and enjoy a mulled wine in an old haunted pub!!!

The perfect spot for exploring York - and loved having the city walk just outside our window. Such a cozy place and very homey.
