The flat is very hot. Only one fan is provided and the windows are incredibly difficult to open. We experienced loud noise / music / shouting on the second night throughout the night where we had to contact the police, we could not get through to the owner until the next morning who didn’t even apologise. The facilities provided are very minimal. No shower gel, shampoo etc. But you’re provided with dishwasher tablets & laundry detergent? I booked this as a holiday stay for my birthday and it ended up being more of a chore than being at home! Bed is very uncomfortable and pillows are very hard. I would bring your own.

The location was great. Clean, good WiFi, easy check-in process, and a very comfortable bed. Very spacious and a short 10min with the car to the center of York. Felt like a safe and quiet neighborhood.

The only slightly negative point is the traffic on the street in the morning. Not that it’s a particularly busy street, but the bedroom is facing the street, and in the summer with the windows open, it can be a bit noisy during rush hour. Nothing that is overwhelming, but definitely noticeable.
