If you want a low cost, clean apartment with comfortable beds then this is a really good option. Barranco is a really safe suburb. The appartment is above the owners property which made it feel safe as he also has an exterior entrance which was locked. We did not see the owner apart from when we arrived and left but we knew he was there if we needed him and he messaged a couple of times with useful information. The apartment has 2 separate spacious bedrooms, 1 bathroom with decent hot water and a small sitting area comprising of a round table and 4 chairs, space to put shoes and a coffee machine and microwave. Breakfast was eggs and fruit but we tended to go too the beach early which is a short walk away. At the beach 2 x deckchairs and a parasol were 20 sol.

After reading previous negative reviews, here are my updates: We were provided keys for all entrances, we didn't have to wait to be let in, we each had 2 keys, one for the exterior gate and one for the apartment. The staircase doesn't bang unless you jump up and down it in groups of 4. There isn't a kitchen. Therefore there isn't a kitchen sink, however, we left our breakfast washing up on the tray and the owner took it and cleaned it for us. He also provided a large bottle of spring water so we didn't have to try and use the bathroom sink to fill the coffee machine. There is noise from the street but having travelled around Peru for a few weeks i think beeping horns and loud street chat at all hours is part of the culture.

The host was amazing, welcomed us warmly, prepared for us good breakfast every morning, including fantastic fresh mango jus. Apartment is spacious and really comfortable and beautiful, location fantastic. Communication was easy. Thank you so much!

Floor in the bath tub is really slippery, I would suggest to put some bathroom carpet there. Other than that, can't think od anything bad.

Location wise, you don't want to be here at night, but by day it is fine.

Absolutely loved our stay. Augusto and his family were lovely, the apartment was beautiful, and Augusto helped us with anything we needed.

Perfect neighborhood to explore this beautiful part of Lima with a lot of Cafes, Bars and Restaurants. The flat was super clean and had nice charme. The family who owns it, is super nice and helpful.

We had some misunderstandings in between but could solve everything very easy and quickly. And a little kitchenette would have been lovely.

Quiet location just a short walk from the main square and cafes/bars. The hosts were very helpful.

The shower lacked hot water pressure at times. Also a plastic Washing bowl would be useful as otherwise you have to use the small wash-basin.
