The location is great! You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better. The accomodation was perfect. It was in the best possible location, very close to many great restaurants and super close to the central part of Barranco. The flat was very clean and very well equipped. There was also a heating for each room so we were warm during the night. The absolute best thing was that Agosto is an amazing host - he prepared breakfast for us every morning and he was always there for us to help!

A really clean and spacious apartment in a great location close to the bars and restaurants in Barranco. Augusto was a really lovely and accommodating host - staying up late to let us in after our flight and giving lots of recommendations, as well as delivering tasty breakfasts to our door!
