Great host!…excellent communication and loved that we were sent recommendations of things to do and places to go in Pisa. Great sized apartment in great location. Good value for money.

Issue with toilet not flushing but this was resolved.

In order to be honest with this, I'll highlighht what is good first but do not forget to check the negatives and try to avoid this host. Location was very good. Heart of Pisa. It is in the ZTL zone so no luck with foreign licence plates, but it is not the house's fault. House was very clean and facilities were OK. Not much living space but rooms has pretty much everything.

The worst host experience I had in my life. First of all you need a code to enter the apartment. There is a weird door knob with a numeric pad on it. It does not feel safe to be inside tbh. He applies shady practices to rip you off 6EUR / person and openly goes against the booking.com policies. He goes so far that ends up threatening you with not reporting your passports to police if you do not pay. He does not provide you the code unless you do not agree to pay this 6 EUR / Person "essential towel service fee" which is ridiculous and he tells you to be pay on Revolut or in cash. Which is totally agains booking.com policy. You DO NOT PAY anything that is not indicated in the listing. Anyways, he ended up opening a dispute on my for this additional 24 EUR fee but of course booking denied it. I raised multiple complaints agains him and his shady practices. So my fellow travellers, I suggest you to do the same. DO NOT BOW TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO RIP YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I am really shocked how many other people also complained about it and how booking still letting him ripping of their guests. How far a host needs to go furhter in order to face some consequences ?

Excellent location

Had everything we needed!

The location was good, and Pisa is a beautiful city. Our stay was close to good shopping, important to our girls.

- The listing says sheets/towels were an extra fee, something I missed on booking. Turned out to be 6 euros pp. What facilities charge an extra fee for sheets and towels!? Could we have declined them? - the listing said there was a river view. Not so, at least nothing we could see. - About an hour after we settled in we received a message that someone on their staff had not given us the room we had paid for and offered a “better” room. By that time we were out enjoying the sights and had to return to look over the other room. In the end we decided to stay where we were because my wife was tired and it would have been a four step walk up to the bathroom, a potential risk. - that night there was a very loud party below us that went on until 3 am.

The apartment was nice, as in the pictures, the location was good, close to everything you might need during your trip. The self-check in process was easy as the host gave us clear and straightforward guidelines. He also sent us tips for walking around the city and recommended restaurants.

The heating was a bit of an issue, but not unbearable - also always pay attention to the small text of the property booking info, as bed lingerie is not included in the price, you need to pay that in cash at the property.
