Situé dans le village d’Hydra au détour des petites ruelles si caractéristiques , l’appartement est très beau meublé avec soin et beaucoup de goût . La literie est très confortable . C’est très propre , il y’a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et passer un très bon séjour . C’est très calme , et tellement agréable de se réveiller le matin en entendant les petits sabots des ânes loin du bruit et de l’agitation du port . On rentre par une jolie cour ou l’on peut prendre son café le matin et l’on a également accès à un beau jardin avec son oranger et vue sur la mer . Il y’a un petit mini market a quelques pas où l’on trouve tout le nécessaire . Je tiens à remercier de tout cœur Martha notre hôte et Yota pour leur accueil , gentillesse et disponibilité et bien sûr leur sourire , nous avons passé un excellent séjour .

The view was nice but could not be enjoyed as you will not want to spend any time at all at the property due to the aggressive neighbours and 2 aggressive barking dogs right next door who will bark all day and all night so you won’t be able to relax or sleep.

The host is not responsive. We had to call the police in the middle of the night due to the neighbour situation and when we tried to phone the host to let them know they didn’t answer our calls and they stopped replying to our texts 3 days in. The host will tell you that the dogs never bark like this and it’s never been an issue which is a lie. We spoke to the neighbours who have said they have lived there for a long time and it is a dogs job to bark and they will not do anything about it. The neighbours were aggressive, shouting and swearing abuse at us. Had people standing outside the property to intimidate us. The dogs were two big guard dogs which barked constantly which was distressing to hear. We were concerned for the dog’s welfare. There are quiet hours which you are meant to follow on the island but not in this location clearly as the dogs barked all day and all night without stopping. The host deceived and lied to us the morning after we had not been able to sleep due to the constant dog barking saying this was so uncommon and offered us a full refund but said we had to leave and find alternative accommodation which simply was not possible due to the size of the island and there being no last minute bookings available. We had nowhere to go, felt very unsafe and ill the entirety of our stay. We contacted booking.com who also can’t get in touch with the property to get the refund so please do not book this accommodation. It will ruin your holiday like it did ours. We spent every day trying to contact the host, booking.com, the police, the neighbours which was not what we wanted.

Appartement confortable tout équipé, le jardin et la cour extérieure appréciables

L'appartement est situé sur les hauteurs de la ville, et est éloigné du port. Le trajet peut être pénible compte tenu des nombreuses marches et de la chaleur l'été, cela peut etre un frein pour aller au port

One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had – avoid this place! The apartment might look nice in the pictures, but the reality is completely different. To begin with, the path to the property is extremely steep, difficult, and poorly maintained – a rocky, uneven climb with many unstable stairs. It’s absolutely not suitable for anyone with luggage, children, mobility issues, or anyone who is not in excellent physical condition. I was pregnant during our stay, and this made the climb even more dangerous and exhausting. This critical information was completely left out of the property description. The apartment itself is extremely basic and does not justify the high price. The dishes were sticky, there was hair from previous guests in the shower, and the TV didn’t even work. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the host, Martha, responded rudely and unprofessionally. She refused to help, claimed she was “wasting too much time” on our issues, and eventually stopped responding altogether. She ignored our messages and even Booking.com's attempts to reach her. We were left without any support from either side, completely alone in dealing with a terrible situation. We left the apartment before the end of our stay because it was impossible to continue, and it ruined our vacation. If you come to Hydra, know to find accommodation near the harbor — climbing up the entire hill to this apartment every day is torture. Do not be fooled by the pictures or the location – this place is absolutely not worth it. There are many better options on the island with kind, responsible hosts who actually care about your experience. This stay ruined part of our vacation. .

One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had – Bottom line – A pig in a poke

Great and responsive communication with the host Martha and Lucas. A quiet location where we slept like babies. Beautiful and newly renovated living room and bedroom. Comfortable and huge bed. Spectacular views from the garden.

Remote location on the top of the hill - 15 minutes steep walk from the harbour (many stairs). Perfect way to lose weight! We managed, but it may be a challenge for physically challenged people. Also, the shower needs to be upgraded.

Perfekte Lage, wunderschönes Apartment und traumhafter Garten!

The rooms are big and everything feels new and clean. Aircon worked well. Martha was very helpful and always available. Was lovely that we had the place to ourselves and use of court yard.

In the summer heat, the 15/20 minute walk back to the apartment is steep and up hill, and we consider ourselves quite fit. One has to think twice before heading back to the house. A couple of times we stayed in town, salty and unshowered as we couldn't face the long climb back. The rooms could have done with bigger windows, lacked light and views. Wifi not very reliable on occasion.

A perfect stay in a lovely apartment with the exceptional host, Martha who was a delight and for whom nothing was too much bother.

Being a little closer to the port would have been nice but we enjoyed the opportunity of exploring the many back streets of Hydra!
