Palazzo Pio Apartment

The location is perfect, right on the edge of the old town. We were wonderfully looked after by the host and the apartment was superb. Spacious, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfortable and cool. We absolutely loved it. I hope it is never changed or modernised!

Grandeur, elegance, location. Transported to another era in this 19th century apartment. Furnishing so beautiful and the tiled mosaic floors stunning. A beautiful sanctuary across the road from the old city. Everything at your finger tips. Very special.

Giuseppe was a kind and attentive host, providing tips on navigating Lecce. The property was breathtaking and the family history was fascinating. The apartment was spotless and private with a beautiful garden.

I still can't believe we stayed in such a beautiful place. The apartment is literally a half a block from the historic downtown part of Lecce. The place is huge! Two bedrooms, one with private bath. A kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a sitting room etc. Each room had a beautiful mosaic floor and high painted ceilings with chandeliers. Rooms were furnished in an old style. Literally antiques everywhere. Even the kitchen still had the old wood fired stove next to the modern one. OK, I was impressed! This apartment used to belong to the owner's grandparents and he had fond memories of growing up there. He was also helpful recommending restaurants.

Palazzo Pio is a magnificent building that surrounds you with gorgeous mosaic floors, fresco ceilings and furniture fit for a king!! the Palazzo has high ceilings and very clean and preserved. Truly a magnificent place to stay and enjoy Centro Lecce!! Luciano P.

Wow what an amazing apartment this is. It totally exceeded our expectations and it made us feel like noble people of a bygone age. The tessellated tiles, decorations, high ceilings and even the front door are all amazing. The apartment is spacious with two huge bedrooms, one with an ensuite. There is also a second bathroom, sitting room, entrance, study, huge dining room and spacious kitchen. You also have access to the garden at the back. The location is also good within an easy walk of all the old town sights in Lecce. Whilst it is on a busy road, you can shut the double glazed windows and not hear anything. I would absolutely stay here again if I came back to Lecce.

The apartment is so spacious that there is a bit of a walk from the bedroom to the second bathroom. Otherwise, there is nothing about this apartment that you wouldn’t like.
