Rory Apartments

Great central location.

A bit hard to find. Also, had a car and parking details were a bit sketchy.

Location was great.

The place is old, as it must be due to the heritage listed location on square. The apartment is a loft. The major issue was the creaking floorboards every time you walked. It woke up the other couple at night. I appreciate this is an issue that would be exceptionally hard to remedy. More of an issue for us because there was 4 of us.

The host was very easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. She was very helpful and offered to give travel advice and recommendations.

the floors were very creaky. The entrance to the flat was a little hard to find- a better description with the entry instructions would be helpful.

Location is perfect if you're a group of friends or family with older children. Theres bars outside your window with entertainment and people drinking until 2am, this seems the norm here as people like to avoid the heat and spend longer evenings out. Very central, lots of restaurants on your doorstep! The owner was easy to contact and kept in contact to make sure we arrived and accessed the building (flight was delayed, so landed after 11pm)

The entry into the apartment was down a dark alley, with no lights, with strangers sitting in the dark, smoking and drinking. This wasn't a great first impression 😕 The apartment has A/C but only in the lounge/diner, so bedrooms and especially the bathroom were ridiculously hot! Some individual fans in the bedrooms for the summer months would help a great deal! There was no bedroom door on the main double room. This wasn't mentioned in the description, I feel this was misleading as there's no privacy if you're staying with others! The floorboards are the creakiest I've ever known! But the building is very old! The freezer door fell off as soon as we opened, so I didn't try again.. tv didn't work, but it was not necessary as we hardly stayed in.. maybe a Bluetooth speaker would be nice? Lastly, there's no tea towels for drying dishes, not a huge deal, but it's the little things that make your stay easier. Overall, I don't feel the price is justified.

Great location

Possibly some items like dishwasher tablets and washing machine power, if only staying for a few days you don’t really want to buy these.
