Loch Lomond Riverside Apartment

Lots of space, easy to access, lots of parking, nice by the river.

It was large and clean, with a good bathroom. The host was very quick to resolve problems.

Kitchen equipment was very basic - there were lots of things that I routinely use that were not there - wooden spoon, sieve for draining, cheese grater etc. There was no welcome pack about how things worked or what was in the area, which I would have expected.

The property was very clean and had comfortable beds. The host was easily contactable. The property is in a great location for the national park, and near the Hills for walking or Glasgow and Stirling for day trips. Lots of walks in local area, and you can walk to either Drymen or Croftamie for breakfast/evening meals. We went to the But & Ben for breakfast and the Clachan for an evening meal.

WiFi was hit or miss, however spoke to the host who is looking into it.

Comfortable living area. Adequate kitchen. Good heating system.

Bathroom window painted shut. Very uncomfortable for 4 adults sharing toilet facilities. Bedrooms very small. Very dated double bed and bedding. One of our party slept on settee as double bed seemed small.

The trip switch went as the toaster was faulty. Very quickly came back to me and replaced it also forgot the tea towel so bought that too.

It was so obvious that they had spent the money doing it up and converting into 3 properties that had no money left for interior. Looks like everything came from marketplace, old, falling apart or broken and needs so much done to it. No signage on property, no photo to go by, only option was to contact the owner. The link was sent but I couldn't open it? Dining table was near the back bedroom when it should of been in the kitchen, the sofa was held up by wood blocks, not even 4 of everything ie bowls, no extra baking trays, oven didn't shut properly. The double beds mattress protector and sheet were not big enough and came off plus the headboard fell off in the night not to mention the base was sinking so was ready to collapse and break. . Could hear people above us in the other property having sex as walls so thin, not worth the money and I would avoid at all costs.

The apartment is well equipped with almost everything

It was very dark outside the building at night, there were some lights on sensors but keeping one light or two open would be nice and won’t cost much. There were some dirts on the linens and the mattresses were very tough and uncomfortable. The water heater at the shower wasn’t working and the water was very cold!
