The Garden Apartment

Was literally 5 mins in a taxi to the centre of St Andrews. Only stayed one night but the apartment had everything you would need for a longer stay.

This apartment needs a serious deep clean and some renovations before it’s suitable for guests! Scruffy and dirty. Carpets stained beyond belief, so much so that we didn’t want to take our shoes off. Host blamed it on previous guests. Walls all marked and scuffed. Shower tray stained with mouldy grout. Furniture stained and very old, looked like all hand-me-downs/charity shop buys! Kitchen was dirty, dust on the top of microwave and kettle and spill marks down the units, like it just hadn’t been cleaned. A bunch of leftover condiments/tea bags/half used coffee in the cupboard. No effort or thought out into guest experience at all, just leveraging a popular location to get a bit of extra income!! Avoid.

Very quiet and comfortable. Easy to get to St Andrews.

Area outside door to apartment very uncared for. Kitchen equipment very limited.

The Garden Apartment is a large bright main-room apartment with en-suite bathroom off the bedroom. The Apartment has cooking facilities, a tv, books & rainy-day activities. It’s nice & peaceful if your looking to have a rest.

Cleanliness in the Apartment was poor unfortunately, there were hairs on the furniture & a persistent musty smell. Arrival & departure times could be fairer I feel.

Beds were very comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. Super easy check in, with lots of helpful info in the apartment booklet. Hosts had great communication too!

Wi-Fi was a little slow but otherwise everything was great.
