Larger space than expected, good location. Comfy bed. All the facilities you need.

There was rubbish left in the bin, which caused a smell and one of the bath towels had a mark on it but carried on as is. I also found it very difficult to locate the property, sat nav brings you to the front but you need to head round the back and the key safes aren't clearly identified which flat they are for.

Lovely place, and the host was very friendly and welcoming and answered any questions will.definately be back

A very good value for money two bed apartment next to the town hall in Higher Buxton - a great, central location. The apartment has everything you need for a week away. Its also close to the bus stop that will get you to Ashbourne, Bakewell etc.

Small things that would make an improvement. One or two sides lights in the living room, so you aren't faced with the glare of the ceiling lights while watching TV. Also, the bedroom in the roof space has an uncovered window that floods the room with light in the morning. I had to go out and find an eye mask to be able to sleep past 5am, so if you are visiting during summer months, come prepared.

Good rooms with fast WiFi. So suitable for work. Kitchen had utensils, pans and cutlery. No complaints

Would be a 10* with a washing machine, but this is a minor thing depending on the length of your stay

Property was in prime location and the rooms are spacious for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2kids). The amenities are all excellent. It wasva very warm and cosy stay with a super responsive owner providing all what we needed. Kids loved the loft room/bed room.

There were a few issues we had when we stayed there: . The kitchen cutlery and plates were disgusting and unwashed. This is because they only supplied us with microfiber rags to wash and a disgusting and mouldy looking tea towel (just one) to dry dishes with. There is no drainer for the cutlery and there was no sink plug (we had to use the bath plug). We had to spend money on a scrubbing brush as the microfiber cloth is terrible for washing pots (cost us £1 and a 10 min walk to the Trading Co store in town) and we also bought a clean tea towel too from there also. Absolutely disgusting that such simple things like this were missing and they were so cheap and quick to obtain to fix their pathetic problem. . The hoover doesn't work. It is bent and broken, clogged with dust and it won't empty. They didn't bother to supply us with a sweeping brush or a dustpan and brush which, again, can be bought for less than £5 from stalls and stores in the market. . There is NO WASHING MACHINE so if you are staying for a period of time and need to wash clothes then you have to go down to the laundromat which is quite expensive. £7 per small wash load, £1 for detergent and then £1 for 3 mins of drying. One load of washing costed us around £13 - £15 to wash and dry. . The lighting for the bedroom. The windows in the ceiling are nailed over with a curtain (which is good) except they missed 2. One doesn't work and can't be closed fully and the one above the stairs has no cover. This means you will wake up when the sun rises because there's nothing to stop the room from being flooded with light. Absolutely pathetic. . The windows in the property. Only one window opens which is the kitchen window. The living room windows open but they double windowed the window meaning you can open one but there's another that won't move. In the summer, which we stayed during, the property becomes boiling hot with no way to get airflow into the property at all.
