Pear Tree Cottage

Superb cottage by far the best we have stayed in. Would definitely stay sgain

There was nothing to dislike a great cottage to stay in.

Everything was self contained within this quaint bed sit style cottage. The patio doors onto courtyard was lovely - if it had been chilly there was a fire pit for our use.

Door lock was a bit sticky. Toilet seat needs tightened up. Also we didn’t have any info in the cottage for Wi-Fi info or local information.

Spacious, stylish, comfortable and well-equipped with a great outside space. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to our next visit.

No full length hanging space and attending a wedding so would have been good. Also, door needs type of insulation, main road very busy and loud

Overall, great use was made of the space available and the apartment was clean and cosy and only a very short walk to the lovely beach. There was a nice outside terrace although the weather was still a bit cold to use it. The hotel staff who provided us with the keys were also helpful . The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for cooking , and it was great to have a decent sized table and chairs (the dishwasher wasn’t working but the owner left a note to let us know). The bed was very comfortable, as were the armchairs and there was plenty of places to store our things. The shower, towels and toiletries were great.

We enjoyed our stay but unfortunately there were a couple of things that were not ideal given the price. The lack of soundproofing on the doors and windows meant that the outside noise (particularly the road or people talking at the bus stop nearby) was very evident which was an issue although it did lessen a little later at night (perhaps thick curtains behind the door and across the window might help?). There was also very little mobile or WiFi signal which was an issue for us as we needed to access family and information for our stay/onward journey. it also meant that some Internet-related TV were limited.

The Pear Tree Cottage is well located, well presented, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend this beautiful little cottage

The only tiny thing I'd improve would be block out blinds to the window by the bed.

The property was well laid out, the bed very comfortable and it was cosy. Loved the patio area which we would have used if the weather had been better!

it wasn’t clear from booking.com that the keys were to be picked up from the Royal Oak - just said 34 Castle terrace
