The space and the bathrooms most. The best is comfortable

Great location, right by metros and Rossio train station. Good restaurants and bars very close. Great to have a dishwasher and I used the washer/dryer to clean all my clothes on our last evening. It was good to have the small balcony and we ate breakfast out there each morning. There is a dolce gusto coffee machine, kettle and microwave. The Free Walking tour (excellent & I recommend it) starts in the square - we could see everyone congregating from the balcony.

At first sight, the apartment looks great: white, minimal and modern but when you look closer, it's all in need of an upgrade. The bed is extremely squeaky and the three small pillows look like socks have been thrown in a pillow case - these should be replaced immediately. The main bathroom could be great if they: removed the mould above the tiles in the shower, placed the toilet flusher back on the wall and re-grouted one of the hand basins, so that it looks clean. (This was also true for the separate toilet hand basin - the stained grouting is very off-putting.) The clothes hangers were situated so badly, that if you hung your clothes up, they would fall/drape into the sink. The only mirror is in the bathroom but there aren't any sockets for the hairdryer so I had to dry my hair on the floor using the TV screen as a mirror. The biggest disappointment was the inability to allow us to check in 30 minutes early. I kept being told to ask at a later date, up to the day before we flew. I explained that I wanted to go on the 4pm Walking Tour in the square and that we only needed to drop our bags off at 3:30pm. They said they were unable to because they wanted to ensure the apartment was cleaned to a high standard. When they emailed the check in details at 2pm, we realised that it was a keycode and key safe, not a person, so we went early, on the off chance. It was available but it showed us that they had no intention of making an effort to contact the cleaners to ask for us. Ironically, the sofa was stained and had dirt and 2 fingernails on it - not the standard of cleaning I was expecting.

The bed was a little small, and pillows were not great. No toaster.

The best thing about this apartment is the location. The metro entrance is literally at your doorstep. Also, it is very well equipped with brand new appliances and interiors.the apartment was super clean and everything was thoughtfully laid out.

The airconditioning was a slight problem. The controls were not easy to figure out and there was no way to change the default temperature, so the room was much colder than I would have liked and there was no way to change that. Finally, I called Innkeeper and they sent a person across but after a lot of experimenting, even he concluded that there was no way to adjust the temperature. Another drawback is that its not very clear while booking that there will be nobody to assist you with check in. I called Inkeeper and insisted that they send someone across to explain all the appliances and controls in the apartment. This should be a standard practise as all appliances differ and rather than mishandle someone's property its better if everything is explained. Also, the fact that the management company did not know how to operate the aircon controls was a bit disappointing.

Location was very convenient and the property was beautiful

Central location for shopping. Near train station to Sintra. Very new building with new everything. Very clean. Nice doormen. Great elevator. Laundry washing machine and racks to dry. Beautiful balcony and view.

Property managers just really weird. Kept telling me they’d meet me at apartment and I had to bring a deposit. But on day of arrival they didn’t show up but instead sent self check in instructions. Building has NO address number. You have to find a building with an address number and count over. I rented this apartment to have 2 beds. No sheets or pillowcases were left for the sofa bed so couldn’t use it. I never knew how to adjust temperature or use dryer cycle because never shown how.

We baked in the apartment. No air conditioning provided after many conversations with the host.
