Fanqueiros 204 - Old Town

Very clean, very spacious, very central. Quality property with great amenities. Pricey but good value for money !

The apartment was a perfect size for our group, with a fully equipped kitchen a large living, dining area, three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a powder room. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, sights, the waterfront and grocery stores but double glazing and shutters meant the apartment was very quiet. The tram and Metro stations were also close by but we could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. The 85 stairs up to the apartment are wide and well lit and gave us our daily workout but are not great for travellers with lots of luggage. Pedro is a star, giving us daily updates and great advice on what to see and do and where to eat. He made everything easy including checking in and out because his communication was outstanding. It was much appreciated Pedro.

The shower in the second bathroom still needs fixing.

Three bedrooms, nice big kitchen, spacious apartment in a great location. Lovely decor and very clean. Would recommend this apartment. Excellent communication with the host and quick responses.

The four flights of stairs, shower recess was small in one of the bathrooms.

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom apartment was centrally located, spacious, and well appointed. the host was exceptionally responsive. A few other good notes: 1. we arrived before the 3pm check-in, and the host was able to provide us with luggage storage. check-in was remote and we were provided with the codes we needed. 2. In the apartment, there were travel guides and recommendations. There was also bottle of water and bottle of wine waiting for us on check-in. 3. the apartment had a washing machine and dishwasher. 4. the living room was very comfortable, and a nice place to decompress. There was a separate 6 person dining table, and two more seats at a mini eating bar. 5. there is a small grocery about 100m away from the apartment, and lots of nearby restaurants.

1. this apartment is on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator. While the stairs are modern and nice, it is a bit of a hike. (We knew about the stairs when we booked, so no surprise, but worth noting.) 2. during the day, a tram runs down the road next to the apartment, and it can be noticed. This is not such a big deal, and the apartment was still much quieter than most central apartments. 3. in the second bathroom, the hinge that holds up the shower head was broken. when we wrote to the host, he let us know this broke with the previous guests and that a new part was ordered but not yet arrived, so hopefully this isn’t an issue for anyone else.

wonderful apartment with lots of space. this is a perfect locations to many places to visit. we walked to the castle in 20 minutes. there are shops, pharmacies, grocery stores right on the same street. host was easy to work with. I would stay here again.
