Lisbon Downtown Apartment Figueira

Very nice apartment in amazing location. Almost everything is in walking distance. Kind and helpful owners.

The only downside was the noise. There are tram rails right under the windows of the apartment and everytime a tram goes by, there is almost a small earthquake in the apartment. And there is tram every few minutes until midnight and after 6am.

Great location, beautiful apartment.

The property came with a washing machine but no detergent, so we asked for some so we could wash our clothes. We were told it’s ’the renter’s responsibility to supply detergent’. This didn’t make any sense as they did supply dish washing detergent, shampoo etc. We’ve never had this before and were forced to buy some which is just a nuisance. It’s a poor customer service attitude. If you provide a machine you should provide the detergent!

I had to wash the towels myself and hang them on the railing to dry. One set of towels for two people and three nights? Television did not work and not much help from owners or management.

Central location, so it was easy to reach places of interest. The view of the plaza from the apartment was nice. The building and apartment are old, but functional. The full kitchen was nice for preparing breakfast.

The host was a bit abrupt and rude when he came to drop off the key to us. We asked for an extra coffee pod since housekeeping left only 5 pods between 2 people for 3 nights, and he said that he could not provide that. The apartment was older than expected. The balcony is very small (something that is not well portrayed in the listing) so that you cannot step onto it. But the thing we did not like the most was that the metro station is right underneath the apartment building, so you will hear trains from early morning (around 6 am) till late night. Additionally, there are a large number of pigeons in the courtyard behind the hotel that keep making sound the entire time. Best to carry some noise-canceling earphones.

Very nice apartment in the center of Lisbon, everything is walking distance from there. There are nice restaurants around and the metro station is in front of the door. The apartment is spacious and clean.
