River city apartments

Lovely clean apartment, firm mattress suited me well. Great pillows. Comfy sofa. Well equipped with essential items. Resupplied with toilet paper on request with no problem. Very good position, nearby transport on main bus route and esay walk to the main Avenue with loads of bars, restaurants and shops. Definitely the best part of Kaunas. Would happily stay here again.

Window blinds let in a lot of light, especially with street lamp outside. Curtains would help to darken the room for more comfortable sleep. A few hooks near the door for coats would be good. Also wall hooks for towels in bathroom would be useful. To reach some of the shelves in the cupboards you need to be as tall as a member of the Kaunas basketball team! There was a small electric cooking ring stored on a high shelf but needed a step stool to reach it. We didn't want to do any cooking so it wasn't a problem as such. Quiet times are listed in the apartment rules but we were still disturbed one night (2am -4am) by another occupant using the washing machine and dryer. Perhaps the apartment rules could explicitly request guests not to use these facilities at night.

Very central, modern and greatly furnished for the price you pay.

Only downside was there is no curtains so a lot of natural light gets in through the shades in the early morning. Makes it hard to sleep in if you’ve had a late night.

I really loved the location – it’s just around the corner from Laisvės Alėja, which made everything very convenient. I stayed in Room 2, which faced the backyard and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated having a microwave and fridge in the room. It was also nicely decorated and felt very welcoming. I would happily stay here again.

I can’t give 5 stars for cleanliness, as I noticed some cobwebs on the walls/ceiling, the blinds were a bit dusty, and the upper bathroom cabinet was dusty and hadn’t been cleaned inside. However, this didn’t bother me as I didn’t use the cabinet, and everything else — including under the bed — was clean.
