"Regular apartment, HORRIBLE STAFF"

Regular apartment, nothing special, very nice cafe for breakfast nearby

First: you cannot check in the apartment normally, you have to go the Welcome Center, which is 2 km away. I have never experienced something like this, very uncomfortable. Second: if you come too early and want to leave the luggage in the Welcome Center, they are charging 6 EUR per luggage item. The fact, that you stay at their property does not make the service complimentary. Third: they blocked 100 EUR deposit on my credit card and I had to contact booking.com to have the deposit returned - 1 week after checkout. The most important thing: the check in is at 4 PM. We arrived at the Welcome Center 2 hours before, the apartment has not been ready yet, they gave us the key and told us, they would text us if the apartment is ready before 4 pm. If they don’t text us, we can go there at 4. We went for lunch, They did not text us, so we arrived at the apartment at 4.10 PM. The apartment has not been cleaned (pictures included). The cleaning staff arrived 10 minutes later. We called the staff from the Welcome Center and the lady named Rafaela started to shout at me: „LISTEN TO ME! LISTEN TO ME! THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD NOT GIVE YOU THE KEY!”. No single word of apology, just shouting and rude texts on What’s App. And then she just called the cleaning ladies and ordered them to leave without finishing cleaning - true story. Fortunately they at least cleaned the beds. Outrageous. I have never experienced something like this, renting hundreds of apartments around the World. Avoid BMY Guest at all costs.

"2 couples on a European adventure"

The apartment was a fair way up out of the city, but on metro lines if they are your thing. We are walkers, so approx 30 minutes walk down town and a biy longer to get back up the hill. Beautifully set out 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment as pictured, but no AC in the middle of a heat wave. No fans etc and bars/ restaurants down below the apartment, that were very noisy until approx 2am, so having thr windows open for air meant bright lights and LOTS of noise.

The lack of AC, no fans, no sharp knife to cut up bread etc, we had to buy one which is not ideal when travelling internationally. Having to go to a different place to collect keys added stress to our driver. Lisbon is a very big busy city now!

"probably the worst overall apartment booking experience we’ve ever had"

-zero hot water for shower or kitchen on day 1 - unresponsive owners to fix it, booking.com could not get hold of them, apparently you need to leave the window open in the kitchen, even then the water would go hot & cold running a tap as geyser is old - very loud at night - every single night, not just a Saturday, week nights too, the bar downstairs is loud with music, people singing, making noise, can hear the cars in the road - left the baby crib in the packet with no bedding, we had to assemble and make our babies bed, poor service - the indoor parking is not suitable for a large car, it is very tight and narrow to get in, very stressful, someone parked their car in the road in front of the parking garage, making it difficult for me to get in, which resulted in me scratching the whole side of the car against the garage, if you have a car look for a different place - dirty pots to cook with, they need a scrub clean, probably because they don’t provide guests with any cleaning / dishwasher detergent - some cooking utensils are so old they are rusted, very dangerous for one’s health to use - other than some salt, they provided zero basics, which is rare for an apartment booking, no spare rubbish bags, no sugar, no tea/coffee, no washing detergent, nothing - the area is very run down, a lot of homeless people on the streets surrounding, would not feel safe for a female to walk around at night - the check in process is inconvenient, you have to drive to another spot 6 minutes away, on a busy road, very difficult to find parking to collect the keys and pay deposit - we felt like the people running the place really didn’t care that we had all these things doing wrong, unlike Airbnb where they make a plan for you otherwise their personal rating will be impacted, which isn’t the case on booking.com In conclusion not worth staying here if you are a family, especially with a baby, and if you have a car, or if you want to get a good nights rest

"Amazing"

Had a perfect stay the place was a lot bigger than I thought the rooms were very spacious alongside the living/dining room, everything was absolutely perfect, it was clean, everything we needed the apartment had, such a good neighbour everyone was so friendly with us, everywhere you turn that are shops, cafes, etc.

The only downside was having to pick up the keys in a different location.

"Better to avoid until the apartment will meet decent living conditions"

- the location is good, quiet neighborhood and close to the metro - apartment is big - private underground parking lot - friendly host who took his time to explain everything

- 2 heaters from which one was small and useless. Was quite cold in the apartment, the person sleeping in living room was sleeping in cold. To take a shower you first heat the bath with the heater, then you exit in the cold bedroom / hall. In the morning was terrible to enter the kitchen, no more than 17 degrees there. I understand that this way is the living in Lisbon, but we are tourists, we pay a lot and we deserve a minimum confort - useless kitchen, was for the first time in my life that I stayed in an apartment with no garbage bags, nothing to wash the dishes (all of them were greasy, probably they are washing them only with water). Host is expecting that the tourist will buy a pack of 20 garbage bags to use only 2-3? - funny fact, is asking 100€ deposit but the apartment is quite old and damaged. Literally nothing to destroy there :) - in conclusion, if is winter and you have children, avoid this location

"Majority of the furniture was broken."

The location.

Just about the accommodation, some of the furniture was broken. For the price you pay, for the apartment, plus the deposit they charge you upon arrival, to cover the cost of any damages, which is ironic, because the majority of the things in the apartment has already been damaged, you expect a good standard of furniture and a certain level of comfort, and hospitality from the staff. There is no one to show you around, when you first arrive to show you how things are and work, and that is probably because nothing is of standard inside the place . The bed was a disaster, the mattress feels like your sleeping on metal, along with the sofa bed, my body and my families is full of pain and aches, due to those beds. Insufficient amount of towels for all the guests, making us gave to share among three towels which is truly remarkable and disgusting. You would think after a global pandemic, the apartment would have an adequate amount of towels and bed lining, to avoid this sort of issue, you go on holiday to get away and relax but that was the last thing I could do with the state of this apartment , the toilet seat was broken, the stores window in one of the rooms was broken and did not open,basically everything in the apartment was broken. Its truly disgusting, the state the apartment is in, for the prices they charge and I'd urge booking.com to remove this place off their listings until they make appropriate improvements to this accomadation, as this place does not correspond at all with what is advertised.
