Portuguese Charm in Lisbon

peaceful stay, the host was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed, very comfortable apartment in the center of Lisbon with great restaurants and supermarket nearby, we really liked the welcome wine, we will be back again!!!

Complicated having to pay a damage deposit into host's account, not into booking.com

The accomodation was really nice and well equipped, in very good distance to metro and city center.

We experienced an awful communication with Pedro before check in. Right after we booked and paid the whole amount of the stay, Pedro asked us to pay deposit of 300 eur. We paid and next day he had the money. Although I asked Pedro to confirm it is ok right away I got no response about that. As we had a 1y old daughter with us he agreed we can leave suitcases at the apartment couple of hours before check in. At the airport I started to contact him because we still did not have the codes for doors. No response on messages, nor calls. We had to be more than 2 hours with infant exhausted from flight in the restaurant close to apartment. At 14 (time of check in) he responded and said he had no money of deposit from us and he will not accomodate us. His communication was very rude. All the messages he started to write only in portuguese. In the end he checked the account and he found money but he could not pair it with us because he was not able to check the reference of the transfer where was my name. After all, he did not even apologize. He said that he found it and so there was no need for this stress. For this person, it is not important that you paid the acommodation. Unless he will not find the deposit on his account he will not give you accomodation. The stress this guy caused us (for the fact that we had small child and she really needed her space, hygiene and some sleep after long journey) was terrible. It really took us long and rude call to persuade him we paid the deposit. Pedro is very sensitive about his accommodation with a lot of cards with warnings of what to do or not to do in the flat.

Amazing place, full of charm, close to the public transport and walking distance to center.

Wonderful apartment in Lisbon!!! We loved Pedro's apartment, it was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location is incredible, the metro is very close to the apartment and with that we could travel to all the places we wanted to visit in Lisbon. The host is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We loved everything and will be back!!!
