Portuguese Charm in Lisbon

communication with the owner of the apartment is not possible, after we paid the deposit and the taxes, they were not paid in full, we requested several times to return the money, but they did not do it, even though the price looks tempting, do not go to this accommodation by any chance!!!

The location is excellent. 2 min to the metro station, you in the centre within 5 min or walking 15 min restaurants near by, shops. Quiet in the apartment., windows to the back of the house. We liked Pedro, he was communicative and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcase in the property after check out. We got welcome bottle of wine.

We didn't like the narrow and uneven stairs while carrying the suitcase up. Apart from that it was good to work the dinners off walking them.. We didn't like that there is no window in the bedroom, but it's not a problem. It was getting quite warm at night and it was only May. We couldn't stay there in the summer. There is an ice machine instead of air-conditioning to cool the air. Can't imagine anyone using it, to be honest..first time I have ever seen one. Toilet was running water, cistern was broken .needs fixing. Shower is hard to regulate the temperature..it goes from cold to boiling and back. Needs fixing. I don't regret staying there, would stay there again. Happy enough...

Good value for the price; central location to city center (Lisbon is pretty small)

Lisbon is extremely humid in February (and other months) and there’s no A/C to dry out the apartment…feels like living in a literal swamp. Everything is cold and wet. Air conditioning is critical, if only a window unit. Please read the fine print for this rental carefully—there is a required 300 EUR security deposit, in addition to the prepaid amount. Deposit will be returned to you within 7 calendar days.

- very complicated entrance to the accommodation - through 3 locks !!! - instructions for entry should have been sent in advance and not only on the day of arrival when we were on our journey to Lisbon - the host provided information to enter only via email and did not pick up the phone at all for direct communication - unacceptable approach - we arrived at the accommodation at 9 p.m. and it took 2.5 hours to get in - we could only get to the apartment with the help of the woman who was on the second phone number - the excessively complicated entry system to the accommodation was also confirmed by another couple who lived on the same floor - we were in Stockholm a month ago via Booking.com /BC/ - the information and the sending of the entry code was done ahead of time and was absolutely perfect - the attitude of the host in Lisbon and the incomprehensible code changes during our short stay with no willingness to communicate over the phone was absolutely the worst we have ever received from BC - after we got into the apartment in a complicated way, we found out that it was not the apartment that I had paid for in advance - 2 rooms without windows, view only of an ugly courtyard and a damaged old building - I would never choose such an apartment - completely unacceptable replacement of the apartment compared to what I paid - accommodation on the 3rd floor - building without a lift - difficult access via old staircase - this information was not included in the accommodation offer at all - there was next another problem in the client's request for a damage deposit of EUR 300. BC declares that al l fees and costs are already included in the accommodation price. I don't understand that BC agrees to pay this. I suffered a loss due to the exchange rate difference.

The apartment is small but quite comfortable , the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. There is a metro station and many shops nearby.
