Portuguese Charm in Lisbon

Location close to center, everything was perfect!

Excellent position, very close to a metro station, by walking you can reach the city centre in 10 minutes

Apartment is located at the 3rd floor and there is no lift

The location was fantastic and super quiet. Which is really surprising knowing how close to the main roads it is located.

The bedding for the sofa was missing. It was not a big issue as the bed was massive and very comfortable.

The location is perfect, next to the Intendente metro station so you need 5 min to the Baixa and downtown. Lidl is close to the location so if you travel with family you can do your shopping, a lot of great restaurants. Everything runs smoothly and easily. Pedro arranged a taxi driver at the airport for us which was perfect for us because we travelled with a baby.

Noisy A/C fan in bedroom

Perfect little apartment for a week in Lisbon. Large bedroom, equipped kitchen and nice to have a washing machine as well. Also well-located with easy walks around town. It was clean, pleasant and nicely-decorated.

The key to enter the building does not work and you need to use WiFi to unlock the doors. Convenient, unless your cell data doesn’t work in Europe (as mine did not….so I had to buy an e-sim just to get into the apartment). Street noise can be quite loud at night (relevant probably only in summer months when windows are open). Be careful as we were asked to transfer extra fees with the “security deposit”, which conflicted with Booking.com (which stated that all fees were included, except the city tax). I asked for repeated clarification about the fees, but these communications were completely ignored. In the end we transferred only the city tax and the deposit, and nothing was mentioned. We also lost quite a bit of money when the security deposit was returned (about £40), assumingly due to exchange rates (?). I would have thought that the Booking.com platform would support owners for damages or theft, and therefore the security transfer was quite annoying. I will not be renting any more flats requiring private fund transfers. But overall, the flat itself was enjoyable.

- They asked twice more city tax than actually needed and they even insisting me to pay this wrong amount of taxes (I didn't). - They asked a 300euro deposit after the reservation confirmation on booking. - I got the deposit back only after 9 days after the checkout. - They respond on messages quit slow or even ignore most of them. - In some Appartments (incl. mine) only few windows. In my apartment there were no window in a bedroom, not comfortable, especially in a hot season. 2 out of 3 apartments (incl. mine) have a really bad windows view to shabby internal jard. - neighborhood is bad, hovewer it is close to the city centre and suer close to subway. I wouldn't write a negative review it they calculate taxes correctly and answer to messages more frequent.

We loved the cosy interior and the close proximity to the centre (about 20 mins by walk).

Although the location is great, it is also a frequented area and therefore very noisy til late (sirens, honks, glass discards). We found the toilet quite inconvenient for leaving the smell around for a long time after flushing. It must be a general water pipe issue, not the apartment’s.

1.Without Notice I was pushed to pay a Euro 300 deposit for one night 2. Getting the keys and into the room was more than difficult ( Need to load an App and when inside open a safe box with key and instructions were not clear at all 3. Room is in a third floor of an historic building without elevator and wooden steps. Bringing up our 23 kilograms bags where something painfull ( This site is not suitable when traveling in groups or family) 4. Room was not ready by 14.00 as promissed 5. Room has no air conditioning but "ice cooling" machine, so you have to buy ice to put into it, something we of course didn´t do and had to suffer the summer heat al night long. 6. Room was not the one I saw in the pictures at booking.com

The remote access system works very well. The position is convenient for public transportation, metro, tram 28 and walking distance to many landmarks

The apartments are small. They can fit 4 people but basically only for sleeping, the sofa bed, when opened, occupies entirely the living room and requires to move the table to the side. Moreover, the house is full of useless decoration objects that further limit the available space. The apartments are super hot, the bedrooms in particular that have no windows so no air circulation. There is no air conditioning apart from a fan that can be loaded with ice for few minutes of slightly cold air. Even with the windows open, if the temperatures in Lisbon are hotter than usual, the apartment will become very hot and it will be almost impossible to sleep.
