Casa Boma Lisboa - Unique Apartment with Swimming Pool - Marvila I

Very modern looking property. Had all the utilities required to cook if needed.

Quite a few electric switches weren’t working. Showers pressure was very low. Also heard someone knocking windows at 23:00 but no one was to be seen. But judging by old reviews it could be envious neighbours that don’t like the guests. Heated pool was useless as the water was pretty cold.

The main bathroom the shower flooded the bathroom , once that is addressed perfect apartment.

The proper is well located

Please dont risk it booking this apartment. I wouldn’t want anyone to experience what we went through.In short, the power cant keep up with the stove, and the lights as promised, therefore couldn’t cook and had to buy food all the time(skyrocketing expenses), and also had to compromise on lights all the time. The fridge didn’t work properly and suddenly didn’t work at all. Called for assistance and didn’t get no support. Our christmas & new year holidays were ruined , we did not have a fridge, we couldn’t cook, we had to compromise on lights. Tried to get intouch for assistance and cutting the story short- there was no help!!. Asked for a refund and there was no feedback!!

The apartment was nice and clean. Nice that they had towels, soap and things to wash with. Secure parking available. Very spacious.

Power cut out which means the entry system wouldn't work. The neighbours are extremely difficult and say you cannot use the pool. They are not happy that the property is being used for airbnb purposes. The bins to throw the rubbish out are not easy to find. My card was also charged twice for the full amount (once when placing the booking and once a week after checkout) which I had to get in contact with them for a refund. I did not know that they handle the payment and it does not go through booking.com. You will need plug adaptors if you are coming from a country that doesn't use European plugs. There is also no microwave.

Quality of the apartment was very good. The pool was good. Clean Appartement - good space for 5.

Only complaint was, that the front door electronics wasnt always behaving. A family of 5 could take an Uber for the price of the bus to downtown Lisboa. Beds were hard.

Location is good, not in the city center but close to a local train station and a taxi stop. The area is being developed, there's a beautiful promenade along the river. Some of the shops and restaurant don't show up on Google maps yet, so we recommend going for a walk to make yourself familiar with the new area.

The representative from Casa Boma was very unhelpful. The apartments private patio is right next to the pool machine room, which is quite noisy. The first morning we wanted to enjoy a quiet breakfast outside, so we closed the doors to the machine room. Later we were informed that the key to open the pool cover was inside this room, and the door we had closed locked automatically. Allegedly CB doesn't have an extra key for this door, we were told to ask neighbors in the building for help. The curt "no" we received from them makes us suspect neither CB nor their guests are very popular. We should perhaps have expected this when we received a long lists of extra rules and prohibitions the evening before arrival. We did not feel welcome nor taken care of as guests of Casa Boma.

Space and location, the pool size as well as the modern design
