FLH Baixa Modern Apartment

Location is absolutely perfect. There's no better location in whole city. Apartment is well decorated and is very comfy.

Great Baixa location within walking distance of many restaurants. Excellent location for exploring the area. Very spacious apartment. Quick response (WhatsApp) from hosts if any problems.

Whole apartment in need of some upkeep. Some peeling paint, smelly bathroom, chipped plates/bowls. A bit sparsely furnished. Kitchen not well equiped for even basic cooking: just 2 large pots, no microwave or coffee maker. Instructions provided for refrigerator (?) but not for dishwasher or washing machine. Only a 10 minute walk to pick up the keys on arrival, but not pleasant on a rainy night, carrying a suitcase. A bit noisy, not unexpected given the downtown location. Has great potential - could be a lot better with some work.

The location of the property is perfect. The apartment is spacious and clean.

The corridor of the building was smelling badly of fried fish, there are some things in the apartment that need to be repared, like the bathroom door, the toilet, the shower door and especially the siphons of the sinks and the shower that were clogged.

Location Location location! Right on the Rua da Prata. There are several parallel roads, all of which are full of shops, restaurants and bars. The vibrant Rua Augusta is just 2 min away. Most landmarks and attractions are within walking distance. Baixa-Chiada metro is only 3 min away. 2 electric heaters and 2 table fans provided. No AC which may be an issue during peak summer. Heaters were useful as we were there for the new year. There's an induction stove, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Hot water supply was fine. Water pressure and shower were good. Towels and linen provided. Wifi was decent, got about 30mbps without problems.

Separate toilet is tiny. A tall person may struggle to sit without knocking his knees on the door. Only one loo roll provided for an apartment that can accommodate 4. The shower section of the bathroom is poorly lit. TV is absolutely tiny, probably a 21 inch. It was more like a computer monitor than a TV. The remote didn't work but this could just be a battery replacement issue. Having to collect keys from another location which almost a mile away is not ideal but you can leave the keys inside the property when vacating.

The house was dirty and uncomfortable. There was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. There were MASSIVE cockroaches. The neighborhood was SO loud all night long, so it was impossible to sleep with the windows open, but there was no air conditioning so you would sweat if the windows were closed. There was zero instruction on how to find the apartment. The reference photo was completely wrong. It would’ve saved 30 minutes of wondering around with our suitcases if you would have explained that you have to walk through a tour store to get to the apartment. The hallway was disgusting as well. The clothing washer was moldy and smelly. We were told to not leave any trash in the apartment or hallway with no explanation on where to leave the trash?
