FLH Baixa Modern Apartment

Excellent location, right in the centre of the city. In close walking distance to restaurants, shops and sights. The flat itself was spacious, neutrally decorated, clean and comfortable.

Arrived very late and did not like having to pick up key and then walk 10 minutes to find apartment. The apartment was not very easy to identify. Bathroom needs more lighting, especially in the shower as it is very dark.

The apartment is very comfortable and spacious. Very central but still quiet. Close to shops and restaurants.

The stairs are dark and filthy, and there are 4 flights to climb

due to lack of central heating, it was very cold inside even the property has a heater (16 degrees!) Air conditional would be a great investment for this apartment.

The apartment was clean and nice. It is in a really good location, we were able to walk places easily. The staff were responsive and nice.

We had to pick up the keys from a different location that was a 12 min walk from the apartment which was annoying because you either need to walk with all your luggage or get a second taxi to actually arrive. Also there was not much comfortable seating in the living room and the TV is tiny; after a long day of walking up hills around town, it would have been nice to go back and have somewhere comfortable to relax.

This apartment has nice big rooms and is in a great location in central Lisbon. Whilst the property fronts on to a busy street, the main bedroom at the rear is nice and quiet. Collected the keys is easy enough but is around 1km from the property. There was no introduction to the area, e.g. highlighting useful places on street map, that most other places I've used would offer.

Overall this property was a bit of a disappointment. The property is described as a modern apartment but in reality it is an old building and smells like one too. It felt a bit tatty and in need of attention - there was broken furniture in the living room (and in the smelly storage room, off the main bedroom) with only 2 chairs to sit at the table. The sofa was old and uncomfortable. The living room rug was filthy. The overall impression was not helped by the decor that aspires to be 'beach style distressed white wash' but just comes across as distressed. And an old, minuscule TV with a faulty remote control. The kitchen could be better equipped, a random selection of cutlery, not many kitchen utensils (only one sharp knife). The plates are nearly all chipped and heavily worn. Come on, get yourselves back to IKEA for a fresh set! The are no draws in the kitchen so all cutlery is dumped into a single oven dish. To make coffee there was a single moka pot that was absolutely filthy. The bathroom is poorly designed with a dark shower that had a very dirty shower head - it took less than a minute for me to clean, but why did I have to? The back (main) double bedroom is quiet and large and has decent storage (although no bedside lights). I'd imagine the front bedroom (2 singles) is much noisier for anyone staying there. So, in summary, the management company call themselves "Feels Like Home" but in reality is felt more like cheap student accommodation. It's a shame because with a bit of attention this could be a perfect property given its size & location. How much would it cost to fix these issues compared to the bookings you may now lose as a result of this review?
