FLH Studio Alfama

The location in Alfama was best part. You have a tiny balcony looking into street- you can hear a lot of neighbourhood clatter and chatter. Historic location in area with tiny streets and very old houses also meant plenty of tourists. I could hear Fado-might have been a warm up before a show, as there are quite a few fado restaurants nearby

The entrance was dirty- cockroaches and uncollected mail-which was off putting but the apartment was clean. Stairwell light didn’t work and hard to see which apartment door-one down one up-was yours. So the “Feels Like Home” didn’t work at the entrance!! Also non-working washing machine still there even though instructions were given on how to use.The host said it hadn’t worked for a few years!

The location is very good. Right in the middle of the atmosphere during the daytime.

Bathroom tap doesn't work, we brushed our teeth in kitchen sink 😭 There is a smell of sewage from that bathroom from time to time. I think other reviews mention this.

Location

The bathroom was way too small, the shower floods, the toilet smells funny and it is way too small. It does not have an outlet to plug in things. The room is very small and the access is difficult because the stairs leading to the room are way too narrow. The washing machine doesn't work.

The location was incredible, in the middle of the old town, right near some good restaurants, and easy walk to the castle & cathedral. The apartment is beautiful and spacious.

Picking up the key in a different part of town is a bit troublesome, especially if one needs to Uber around due to having lots of luggage. It would have been nice to have the washing machine working - it was not included in the listing, but there is one in the apartment which wasn't working. It would have been very helpful to be able to do laundry.

Location was great, and the studio was lovely, had everything we needed for the weekend. Perfect for a couple.

If you want to sleep early, the Fado restaurant downstairs can be a bit loud. Luckily we were out every night having fun. Also, not a fan of having to go to pick up the keys at a different location.

Cozy, renovated and very well equipped studio (microwave, oven, coffee maker, iron, washing machine, heater, etc.) Good location

There are no blinds, just a blackout. Something that disturbs the rest in the early hours of the morning. Located in front of a fado house/restaurant is always notorious some noise (although it has not disturbed us that much). Inserted in a very old building (the access to the studio itself, located on the 2nd floor, is quite complicated and claustrophobic).

the windows of the apartments is directly to the restaurant, where every night (except Monday) were parties with live music, so you won't be able to rest from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. we tried to close windows, but this did not help et al. so, if you are ready have holidays without comfortable sleep, this apartment is for you!!!
