Excellent location, very close to major attractions. Walking distance with many restaurants nearby

Surrounding with large rubbish bins over the weekend or holiday without bin collection and with the warm weather, it was quite smelly.

The wifi has good signal throughout the apartment, helps with working remotely from the bedrooms or the lounge area. The kitchen is reasonably equipped, capsule coffee machine, a tiny dishwasher, microwave, fridge. A few oil heaters were provided, work well, and a nice touch, the bedrooms get very cold as they have no external facing windows (the second room has one tiny tiny window but serves no real purpose. I didn’t use the TV but there is a big LG smart TV. Convenient location to walk to popular tourist neighbourhoods.

To preface, it was perhaps just my bad luck that the glass door at the street which is the entrance to the building, had been broken by recent bad weather in Lisbon. Meaning there was no access control to the building. This was the case when I checked in, and it was not disclosed prior to my arrival. Apparently the repair is scheduled soon. I think this is specific to my situation with the broken front door, but the stairwell was constantly occupied by someone - noisy neighbours or randoms off the street, I don’t know, but there was always a conversation happening in the stairwell literally right outside the front door to enter the apartment itself, most of the day, and late into the night. The stairwell occupiers also left all kinds of rubbish in the stairs, random clothing, empty cigarette boxes, as people were smoking constantly in the stairwell, the apartment generally smelled a bit like the cigarette smoke as the front door does not seal. It was a bit unnerving to come back to the apartment late at night and have a couple of people hanging around in the stairwell, smoking and chatting right outside the front door to the apartment. There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet which runs constantly - so they are never not making a noise. A soft noise - but annoying nonetheless when trying to sleep. When I got to the apartment, there was no toilet paper anywhere in the apartment, I bought extra and left it behind for the next person. The apartment is in a great location in terms of proximity to the popular areas you would want to visit in the City - maybe a little too good. Most days, the noise from the street is considerable - don’t even think about working with any of the doors or windows open - even with them closed, the noise off the street outside is not conducive to working/ taking calls, that’s aside from the general discussions and cigarette smoking right outside the front door. Value for money, this apartment was not worth it in my view.
