Little Alfama Town

Amazing location, Benjamin was friendly and super helpful

Flat could do with some cleaning, Washing machine didn't work

Se decidi dormire nel quartiere dell'Alfama hai fatto una scelta Bohemienne e Little Alfama è il posto per te. Nel piccolo funziona tutto e quando esci fai tre passi e sei immerso nella Lisbona romantica e popolare. Il resto come le scale di casa su cui non sali ma ti arrampichi fa parte del pacchetto.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Lisbon. It's in the Alfama region which, while hilly, is absolutely gorgeous! It's also not much of a walk (downhill!) to the main town area. Very nearby is the Lisbon Cathedral, the Castelo De São Jorge, and some great bars and restaurants (it's not too noisy at all though when trying to sleep). On the host's recommendation we headed to a quiet little street to find some dinner the night we arrived and ended up at a restaurant called Pata Gastrobar where we had incredible food – highly recommend! Benjamin, the host, arranged to meet us at the São Vincente statue to hand over the keys and show us the apartment, but he also gave us a great run down of some places we might like to visit, and answered a few of our questions about getting around the city. He was excellent! We would 100% stay here again if we were to visit Lisbon, and would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable base from which to see the sights.

Close to the City (Old Town) , location was excellent if you like to get the feel of staying in an old Alfama house! Clean place....but not easy to climb up one set of stairs as very steep and narrow... Not ideal for elderly people... Great tips from Benjamin! He was very helpful...

While we were there was no power to the whole of Portugal and Spain! Very difficult to get news as you are cut off from the world....

Review: We had a wonderful stay in the heart of Alfama, the charming old town of Lisbon. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it the perfect place for a city break. The host was extremely friendly, kind, and always ready to help, ensuring we had everything we needed. One of the best parts about this place is its fantastic location – many attractions, including the São Jorge Castle, are just a short walk away. Additionally, the apartment had extra heating and a dehumidifier, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Lisbon!
