Under A Fig Tree Apartment

The apartment is just underneath the Miradouro de St. Luiza and close to all fado restaurants in Alfama. The building is original, so prepare for a lot of stairs and a tight hall, but the apartment is well cared for and clean. Instructions were fast and clear and the host was terribly fast as I had to book the apartment the same day as I had a terrible experience in another place. It's a great place for people wanting the true Lisbon, which is getting lost over time. There's private parking 500 metres down, which costs 25 a day and is pretty handy. If you have heavy luggage, come from the Miradouro instead of fado museum as you can take the lift. Overall amazing experience!

We did not continue to look for the apartment. The dark alleys, series of stairs to go up , unaccessable with taxi and no precise address. We have to ask 20 or more people to guide us. All are not familiar with the location. We have to stay in another hotel that night because we were tired carrying our heavy luggages. 3 elderly women coming from Asia wanting to rest after long flight of 24 hours!! The owner or host is a con , misleading did not mention about what we have to go thru. I should not be charged for this accommodation. No way to cancel because we were there but impossible to go up and to leave the next day at 6am for Fatima is impossible. I sent message to the host for this nightmare. They should be banned from booking.com

The host did not give details of the exact address. He is not giving the right description of the location and how to get there because he knows it is unacceptable!! The flight of stairs to reach the apartment and going thru alleys . To carry heavy luggages we could have had heart attack! They mislead us! So dishonest liars!

Great location with lots of bars and restaurants and sights close by

No door on the actual bedroom It was actually 1 bedroom apartment because the other bed was in the main living area Showering was a little more difficult with having to hold the actual shower head

The problem is if you have more luggage, very difficult to manage. Also the steps inside the house difficult to carry. It was terrible situation keeping my son with 3 month including storaller. Also you don’t have the parking place

The bathroom was pathetic and nothing like the picture which was falsely advertised on your website. My family and I checked out after one night. I strongly believe someone needs to view the property personally before you advertise it
