Unique and quirky central apartment with parking

Great location and had a fantastic stay. Great to have a parking space.

Couple of niggles but didn't distract from our stay. Door handle broken on front door inside, no hairdryer and no hangers.

A few issues with maintenance. BED BUGS!!!!

Great location, big enough for four people.

Was hard to find the parking as the instructions had us looking for a barrier that was up but it wasn’t but found it after about 15 minutes.

Bed bugs. Please do not stay in this property. I received over 100 bites, it was horrible. I would not wish this on anyone. I was travelling with my partner and 2 small children (age 5 and 3). I even caught one bug on my body in the night, see photo. When I alerted the owners about this concern, the owners denied any knowledge of bed bugs and asked me to quarantine to one room. I then read other reviews and noticed that at least one other recent guest had raised similar concerns the month before. The owners must have known about this already, as the previous guest had assign a 1.0 rating. A distinct lack of integrity shown by the owners, especially as my 2 small children were exposed to a nasty bed bug infestation. I have advised booking.com to cease partnering with this particular host.

We had a lovely stay in Oxford. The location is absolutely amazing and really made it easy to get around the city. The place felt like a real home-from-home, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the tea, coffee and sugar provided on arrival. The big, fluffy towels were also a bonus,

There were a couple of things that could be improved. The bed in the bedroom closest to the bathroom wasn’t very comfortable — you can feel the springs, so it may benefit from a new mattress. The washing-up sponge was dirty and really should be replaced with a fresh one for each guest. Also, only one tea towel was provided; having two or three would be much more practical.

Huge bed bug infestation. The flat itself would have been a lovely place to stay if not for the unfortunate discovery of a very bad bed bug infestation of both bedrooms and the carpeting of the upper floor. I would also have had no problem and not felt the need to leave this kind of review if the host had handled this and resolved this horrible situation properly. It has now been two weeks and they still have not issued the refund. On top of that I had to pay extra out of pocket that I couldn't really afford to do for me and the friends I was travelling with to rent alternative accommodation very last minute (which was very difficult to find any availability) then we also had the added expense of a visit a local laundrette to heat treat and clean everything to make sure we were not going to spread the bed bugs further or take them home as I know how hard they can be to get rid of. If you have stayed in this property anytime near October/November I highly recommend that you may want to check your own homes too as these infestations can go undetected easily until they get really bad and then at that point it is very difficult to deal with. The earlier intervention methods can be employed the better! Fingers crossed no one else has had any hitchhikers.
