Coalhouse Apartment

Good location for what we needed. Convenient parking and very comfortable accommodation. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Very modern decor inside the apartment, immaculate. Good location for bars restaurants and shops. Read a few reviews about communal area (hallway and stairs), agree the paintwork is a little tired looking but did not affect the quality of our stay in any capacity.

The apartment was immaculate, tastefully decorated, had everything we needed to cook a meal etc. The hosts were brilliant and super accommodating...could not fault any of the service.

We stayed at the weekend and apartment is right above a busy beer garden. Sadly this kept our children (aged 5 and 9 years old) awake until it closed and people dispersed at around 11:30. The children were exposed to inappropriate language and conversations, as these could be heard from the bar downstairs on both sides of the apartment. Even with the windows closed and blinds down, the noise was significant and prevented any of us from going to sleep and interrupted what should have been a relaxing evening. We do not feel that this apartment is suitable for families/ those with children/ people who need quiet.

Strategic location in the high street and close to the seafront and restaurants.

The front entrance off the street was used by several people including the post office next door to store papers in the small hall. Unopened mail was lying on the stairs. On several occasions the front door was left unlocked which could pose a security risk. The lock on the front door was a bit fiddly so other tenants sharing the entrance might have found difficulty locking the door.
