Good location

Poor shower door wouldn’t close had to hold it closed and couldn’t regulate the water on the electric shower, no lights on the cooker hood, no lights on the two bar electric fire, the numbers had rubbed of on the hob top so you had great difficulty seeing what heat you wanted

Nice lounge /kitchen area.

Uncomfortable mattress, synthetic bedding.

Brilliant location in middle of old town. But quiet as its down a pub back yard and on 1st floor Property is very old and has lots of character

Bit gloomy inside but plenty of electric lights

Amazing location, right at the bottom of the 199 steps. Very well decorated and comfortable. Really responsive host, everything was clear and well organised. Comfortable beds and great facilities. Impeccably clean. Right next to an excellent pub; the black horse.

Any complaints I’m making are small, but in the interest of honesty, I will give them. There was no on site parking, but a nearby car park for £11.90 per day. Very steep steps to door and cobbles below, not suitable for anyone disabled. The second bedroom was very small, and got very hot whilst other rooms were cold. Small bedroom also had no plugs.

A decent location, clean and everything we needed for a bolt hole during the frenzy that is Goth Weekend. The kitchen is a great and having a washer/drier was really useful!!

The property images shown on Booking are for an address further into the town centre. Our place was at 30 Church Street, YO22 4AE not YO22 4BP. This is a different property and further along the marina side so not as fully in the centre of things as we had thought. Also, this was less cosy and quaint than the pictures make out, again because it is a different property.

The cottage was in a brilliant location and really easy to get to. It felt like a home from home and was just a nice little place to stay for the weekend. Everything was clean and tidy and we had all appliances and amenities we’d need for the stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend for others to also!
