"Great apartment near train station"

Great location near the train station with easy access to the historic center. Easily fit 3 people. The kitchen was well equipped, the apartment was clean, and the AC worked well. We enjoyed our stay!

"Nice apartment, but traffic noise from early in the morning"

The apartment was fine. Also convenient for the train station and an easy walk to the centre of Bologna.

There was a lot of traffic noise - cars, buses, motorcycles - starting very early in the morning.

The location is fantastic - a short trundle with luggage from the station, and close to restaurants and buses. There is a great gelateria just round the corner (Crema di Latte Gelateria) and a nice coffee/biscotti shop a block away (Nuovo Caffè del Porto). The host is very friendly, and provides a lot of extra touches - the drying arrangement with pulleys in the bathroom is quite ingenious. There isn't a huge amount of space, but there is plenty for two people. Bed is comfy. Sound insulation is fine.

Things are good overall, but It would be nice to have a full-size ironing board rather than just one that is more suitable for sleeves, and it would also be nice to have a luggage stand. A slightly bigger organic bin would have been helpful.

Giorgio went out of his way to meet us at Bologna central station, show us the property, and explain everything we needed to know. This was above and beyond the normal private landlord service.
