Luxe Apartments, The Moorwell, Secure Parking, - 10mins Cardiff City Ctr

Lovely spacious apartment in a quiet neighbourhood. The location is on the outskirts or Cardiff (or is it technically outside, not sure)...but we had a car and it was a short drive into Cardiff City Centre. We spent most of our stay visiting places outside of Cardiff so it meant that getting in and out was easier and it was easy to nip into Cardiff for dinner when we got back. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. All the doors (garage, main building and apartment) are controlled through an app and was very convenient as we didn't need to deal with keys (just make sure your phone is charged). Hosts were very responsive on email. Would love to stay here again

Not much not to like. Would just warn you that if you have heavy luggage you may want to leave it on the ground floor before parking in the garage as there is no lift from the basement to the ground floor. You can take it up to the apartment in the slowest lift in the world from the ground floor (but at least you don't have to carry it up).

The apartment was lovely, well-equipped with a small balcony in the sun for most of the afternoon. The train to Cardiff stops by outside, but it is not noisy. The flat can get very warm, but the host has provided a fan.

You need to have data on your phone to access the parking + the property. Travelling from abroad doesn't always allow for that, so it was a pain to be locked out after travelling for over 20 hours with toddlers, as we couldn't get our data sorted upon arrival. In the end, I was able to call the host, and he let us in. It would be nice to have a door code option as well for people who don't use a phone or whose phone battery dies, for instance. Access to the parking is very tight so if you are driving a big car, beware, especially when the gym people park in the STOP area in front of the building which is usually meant for residents to access the parking when other cars are coming out of it. The sofa in the living room needs an update. My 70-year-old mum was struggling getting out of it once seated.

The apartment was tastefully decorated, well-equipped, comfortable and spacious with a south-facing balcony, everything was neat and tidy, there was a welcome pack and the location is excellent (right next to the rail station). Check-in was easy and straight-forward and the key app was handy.

Not clean (mould in bathrooms, stains on the carpets, dirty walls) Limited gym access (only over 18 allowed and when a staff member is present, so if no staff at the gym you will not gain access to it) Shower not working properly (completely lost hot water on the last day of stay) Deposit payment request is not shown visibly when booking (£300 must be paid before checking in)

Nice spacious, lovely being able to sit on the balcony in the sunshine. Loved that all the doors were controlled by an app, made it easier coming and going.

Location and light airy modern apartment with large sunny balcony. We liked the Klevio access and the Art Deco touches in the building.

Could do with more seating and some cushions in the lounge area and some blankets for extra layers on beds.
