I liked the style and location of the apartment. I really liked the double bedroom. It was comfy and decorated lovely.

We were unable to stay due to renovations being carried out even though it was still advertised as available on the day I booked it. I wasn’t until 4.30pm when we turned up and couldn’t gain access and it nearly 2 hours before the host emailed us back as they weren’t answering the telephone before we found out it was cancelled do to the renovations. Still waiting for a refund as I have been charged for the booking

The property was clean and the location suited us as we were visiting family near by.

There was no toilet paper left for the stay and no other consumables such as shower gel or tea bags. There was a full roll of toilet paper stuffed down the toilet that I had to fish out before we could use it. The apartment was a bit fusty although I appreciate that is due to the age of the building and the old windows. The instructions left out were quite aggressive about making sure a side gate was kept locked at all times and that a previous guest had touched a window that resulted in it being broken. The recommended parking was on a side street close by although parking on the road directly outside the building would have been fine. The apartment was fine it just didn't feel very welcoming.

The property itself is beautiful and spacious and has a lot of potential.

I don't usually leave reviews but constructive feedback seems relevant. The property wasn't functional. The side gate was far too small and narrow to fit through with 6 large cases and 10 smaller bags. The lock on the gate was very difficult to reach from the inside, you had to be over 6 feet tall to reach (I wasn't able to reach it at all). When we arrived to check in the previous kitchen had been dumped in the courtyard (understandable as they are renovating). However, the (presumed) owner came to clear it at 8pm until 8.45pm on a Sunday night, which was very loud and seemed to be an invasion of privacy as this was right outside the lounge, luckily we had closed the curtains. We felt uncomfortable from this point. A bag of tools was left in the kitchen in front of the cupboards. Lots of noise from the flat above (screaming child), could hear talking and the TV (not the owners fault but there is definitely not enough sound proofing). We noticed no smoke alarms in the property. Although we were told about having to park on the side street, we found this to be difficult considering how many cases we had. The note left by the owners/staff seemed to be very passive-aggresive with lots of "do not do this...". We found it to be quite negative and not welcoming. The property would benefit from a small dining table under the tv as we had to eat on the couch or standing. For the price we paid. we would not expect the above issues (especially no parking). Overall, the property itself has potential.

Great location, easy access.

Couldn't understand why on site parking wasn't offered as plenty of space and I was technically a resident whilst staying there. bathroom and kitchen were a bit shabby, and fridge salad boxes were dirty. Was disappointed for the price I'd paid.

Rooms were spacious. Good shower.

We were advised to park in a street a few minutes away. The street was a through road to a secondary school. Very busy traffic. There were no smoke alarms or heat detectors in the flat. The steps down to the flat are not very safe, and the gravelled area to the front door was very uneven. It seemed unsafe to have a light switch in the bathroom. There were no sockets near to mirrors, not ideal for hairdryers. Only seating for 2 people in the kitchen/lounge area.
